iPhone 4G: Release Date during WWDC 2010 – Rumor

By Alan Ng - Apr 28, 2010

We have an exciting rumor to share with you now, as it has been revealed that the iPhone 4G could be available on sale as soon as June 7th – the date that WWDC 2010 kicks off.

As reported from Apple Insider, the rumor has surfaced from Mashable, who have cited their ‘sources’ for an ‘early’ release of the iPhone 4G.

We say early, as we are used to seeing a new iPhone released after the annual WWDC event in San Francisco, not before. We informed you earlier that the iPhone 4G might be released early as a result of the Gizmodo leak, but this will be the first time that Apple has decided to start selling a new iPhone during WWDC – if the rumors were to be believed.

This rumor may have some strength behind it, if you remember back to an earlier report that AT&T were blocking staff vacations in June – indicating that the iPhone 4G would be available that month, instead of July.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think the iPhone 4G will be released during WWDC or not?

Apple iPhone's lucky day is Tuesday so we might see the announcement on 7th but definitely the release of iPhone4 on Tuesday, June 8th along with the 4.0 firmware update. I have a hunch the 4.0 Multitasking might just come to the iPad & iPod Touch as well. Let's see, Time will tell.

I also look forward to a new iPod/iTunes refresh in September. No Idea about the MacBook Air (Think iPad has killed the Mac – For Soft Users That Is) !!!!
