By Jamie Pert - Apr 27, 2010

Good news console fans, last years best-selling PC game The Sims 3 has finally been confirmed to be in development by EA and will see releases coming to the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and DS.

The Sims franchise has been the PC’s most successful game since it’s initial release in 2000, and EA tell us that the console version of the game which includes “all new” features such as “Karma Powers” where your Sim can be very lucky or be extremely unlucky will be released this fall.

The Nintendo Wii and DS releases will feature exclusive content, with the Wii version coming with a beach town which houses it’s own residents, careers and “lifetime wishes.” The DS version is set to introduce a new “Story Mode” feature which the player can go through a “complete life simulation.”

In the announcement by EA, executive producer Sam Player says that they are bringing players “the best console and hand-held game for The Sims franchise to date.”

With each version set to hold unique aspects of gameplay, which version will you be queuing up on release day to purchase?

Was really looking forward to it n it was a huge letdown. Tons about it that just sucks. Think Sims 2 was better. All the hype is not worth it.
