Bugatti Veyron and Audi R8 Price Explained

For those who thought that Monday was going to be a boring night for TV, then you were in for a treat. The National Geographic Channel never disappoint with its documentaries – the latest was on the Bugatti Veyron and Audi R8, where they discussed all the technology behind it and the high price tag for the former.

There is no denying how nice these cars are, but both are beyond the reach of the average person. The Audi R8 is within reach of a number of people, but the $1,750,000 price for the Bugatti Veyron makes you wonder if Volkswagen lives on out planet.

On an engineering level both cars excel, the Veyron is one of the fastest if not the fastest production car in the world, but not the most practical. Given the choice, I would go with the R8, as the design looks more striking.

It does make you laugh that you can have two supercars with awesome speed, with Veyron is much faster than the R8, but does that explain the huge price difference? More details can be found on The Car Connection
