iPad gets sliding QWERTY keypad: Knockoff

By Peter Chubb - Apr 19, 2010

There are those who wished that the Apple iPhone would offer a physical QWERTY keyboard, but we are not certain if this is the same with the iPad tablet device. However, a knockoff has emerged offering a kind of iPad with a full QWERTY keypad.

The device may look a little like an iPad when closed, but that’s as far as it goes. For starters it runs on Windows 7 and not iPhone OS, and instead of an A4 processor, you have the Atom N450 – the staple CPU of any netbook.

As yet Engadget has no details of a name, price or even a release date. Another shot of this device can be seen at Shanzhaiben. Looking closely at the shape, I am reminded of an iPhone with a white rim running around the edge. Let us know what you think?
