Samsung Galaxy S: T-Mobile release on the way with AT&T?

By Alan Ng - Apr 16, 2010

It looks like T-Mobile customers have something to be pleased about this weekend, as we are hearing reports that the Samsung Galaxy S handset will be landing on T-Mobile soon.

As reported from Phandroid, the android-equipped handset has popped up on a Bluetooth SIG document, under the listing SGH-T959 which Phandroid say is the Galaxy S in disguise.

While we got a brief introduction to the handset at CTIA Wireless, the Bluetooth SIG note also reveals a few possible specs of the device. These include a 4-inch AMOLED touchscreen, Bluetooth 3.0 and TouchWiz 3.0 UI on top of Android.

Looks like a pretty decent handset you have to say. Let us know your thoughts on the Galaxy S. Are you interested in this one?

  • Just to put these number in perspective, Apple sells 8M iPhones a quarter. If Samsung really manages to sell 10M Galaxy S by the end of the year, it’ll sell around 30% as many Androids as Apple sells iPhones. Now, apple might increase the iPhone sales rate, but we need to remember that the Galaxy only came out in the second quarter.
    Very impressive achievement for Samsung.
