Samsung W6900 Beam: Projector phone packs Android 2.1

We have some good news for those of you who were keeping a close eye on Samsung’s promising projector phone, as we can confirm that the Samsung W6900 Beam smartphone has just been launched in Korea.

As reported from MobileBurn, the Samsung W6900 is the successor to the Samsung Haptic Beam phone, and the newer version packs some pretty interesting features.

The W6900 will pack a 3.3-inch 800 x 480 pixel resolution AMOLED display which Samsung are claiming is 1.5 times brighter than the Haptic.

Aside from a built-in projector, you’ll also get a 5 megapixel camera, 11GB of internal memory (expandable) and a 1,200mAh battery. Oh, and it also runs on the latest Android 2.1 OS.
