We have some news for those of you planning to pick up Crysis 2 on either the Xbox 360 or PS3 at the end of the year, as a senior figure within Crytek has revealed some very interesting details concerning both platforms.

As reported from CVG, Crytek Business Development boss Carl Jones was speaking in a recent interview with PSM3 when he revealed the following details:

“At the moment, we’re getting slightly more performance from PS3 compared to 360. I’m very confident that products using CryEngine 3 are going to come out as the best looking, or at least in the top three, on every platform.”

We didn’t expect such a bold statement from someone within Crytek, but you have to admire his honesty. Crytek has stated numerous times that the game will set the graphics benchmark on the PS3, but now we have heard a direct comparison on both builds of the game.

What are your thoughts on this? Have you changed your mind about getting the Xbox 360 version?
