Apple iPad Supports Flash, Well Kind Of

By Jamie Pert - Apr 13, 2010

When the iPad was originally announced there were quite a few criticisms, however one which seems to have stirred up the most controversy is the lack of Adobe Flash support, we are now hearing that a company called RipCode have came up with a solution.

Apparently they have created a clientless Flash video codec, once this is installed this will allow Flash video to show on the iPad, this will be seamless to the end user.

Their codec will also support other formats such as “QuickTime, MP4 Progressive Download, Apple’s MPEG-TS Adaptive Progressive Download for file-based and live content, Microsoft Smooth Streaming, and RTSP”, to find out more information check out RipCode’s official site.
