Google Earth Plug-in: Civil War Trails Online

Google Earth has now become an important tool, not only for fun but research as well. New features and images are being added all the time, the latest is that a new Civil War Trails online plug-in has just been launched by the state of Pennsylvania.

This latest plug-in will allow users to explore these trials online. Google has overlaid placemarks, imagery and other information, which you can see once you have installed the add-on. Google Earth Blog explains that the GigaPan imagery on the map is very impressive.
