Apple iPad 3G Vs WiFi: Which is better?

Now that the WiFi version of the Apple iPad is officially available, the focus will now undoubtedly switch to the 3G version of the device, which is expected to be available at the end of April.

We have an article for you to read now, courtesy of Helium, who have compared the pros and cons of each device, giving you a good idea on what to expect for the 3G iPad.

Aside from being compatible with AT&T’s 3G network, one of the main differences for the 3G version compared to the WiFi version is price. If you thought the price tag was expensive for the WiFi version, then you probably won’t be surprised to hear that the 3G version will cost you far more.

After an initial fee of around $629 for the device, data plans are likely to start from $14.99 a month, all the way up to $29.99 per month.

On the plus side, you’ll also get GPS features with the iPad 3G, but the device itself will be slightly heavier than the WiFi version at 1.6lb.

Are you happy with your WiFi iPad, or are you holding out for the 3G version? Let us know your thoughts on both versions.
