Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon: New York Show 2010

By Daniel Chubb - Apr 1, 2010

Cadillac normally responsible for making cars for shall we say more mature buyers in the market have pulled the covers off its latest creation at this year’s New York Auto Show. Say hello to the Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon.

With a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 derived from the Corvette it pushes out an insane 556-horsepower, with the option of a six-speed manual transmission. It will hopefully come with the leather/Alcantara interior and Recaro sports seats it was wearing at the show.

Although Cadillac admitted that they don’t expect to sell a great deal of its newest V model, perhaps we should remember that the US is abit short in the performance “wagon” market. BMW has the M5 Touring, Audi the RS4 and 6 Avants but they do not sell these in the US. So with a price of possibly around the $65,000 mark Cadillac could be in greater demand than they think.
