Sony PSP: Losing the battle with Nintendo

By Alan Ng - Mar 29, 2010

We have an interesting article for you to check out now, in which industry analyst Michael Pachter has spoken out with his views on the Sony PSP – adding that Sony are running into a brick wall with the PSP.

As reported from VG247, Pachter made his comments in a recent video over at GameTrailers, in which he also stated that Sony are ‘destined’ to finish in second place on the game front with Nintendo.

Quite a bold statement to make that, what do you think of it? However, he thinks that Sony won’t give up on the PSP, predicting that further hardware models are on the way soon.

“I think Sony is kinda running into a brick wall, trying to compete in that [multimedia device] sector. With that said, I don’t think they’re giving up, I think we’re going to have a PSP-4000, 5000 and 6000.”

Do you think Sony are losing the handheld battle with Nintendo at the moment? I’ll have to admit, I only use my PSP to play DJ Max when travelling long distances – otherwise, it collects dust.
