GoDaddy follows Google with China domain walkout

We have more news about Google and China to bring you now, as it has been confirmed that another company, GoDaddy has also backed down from commitments in China, by ending their business over there following China’s new rules on internet domains.

As reported from TheRegister, Domain registrar GoDaddy has now stated that, they will maintain .cn domans currently running, but will no longer be registering any new ones.

This is all due to China’s new laws which came into effect in December, in which the country started to ban inviduals from registering websites, unless they had authorization and a licence from Chinese officials.
