Social Media vs. Sex: What’s better?

By Peter Chubb - Mar 18, 2010

More and more people are spending less time in front of the TV and more time on their computers – the reason for this is social media. Social networking sites such as Facebook is taking up more of our time; there is even a report that some people are choosing Facebook over sex.

Cnet thought that this deserved a closer look and found that so many people are spending every spare moment they have on these social media websites. It does seem sad that certain individuals would turn sex down for the sake of talking to friends – there has to be something seriously wrong.

The study shows that more than half Facebook and Twitter users check their accounts before they go to bed, this could often cause them to stay on much longer than intended – by that time your partner would have got bored waiting for you to come to bed.

40 percent of those asked in a recent survey said that they would stop what they were doing and check a message on Facebook or Twitter, but that does depend on what they were doing. One in 14 said that they would do this during sex; one in ten of those were under 25.
