Konrad and Loft Office Chair Recall: Models

By Peter Chubb - Mar 18, 2010

There are reports that Konrad and Loft have issued a recall on 4,300 of their wooden office chairs – this is due to their backs becoming loose from the base of the seat. The chair poses a risk of injury, which is why the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has stepped in to help with this voluntary recall.

Market Watch explains that the office chairs were sold at Cost Plus/World Market stores as well as online; the cost of these was $170. The chairs were made in Thailand and then Cost Plus Inc distributed them throughout the U.S. Thankfully there have not been any reports of injury.

The CPSC has warned that we should stop sitting on the chairs and then return them to Cost Plus/World Market – the store will then offer you a full refund. This is not the only recall issued today, we reported this morning about an issue with the Graco Harmony High Chair.

For more information and a list of those models affected by this recall visit www.worldmarket.com or call (877) 967-5362.
