We have some essential reading for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 fans now, as we have a release date and full details on the free, yes free DLC content that DICE are planning to release for the game.

As reported from Eurogamer, two new brand new maps will be available on 30th March – titled Arica Harbor and Laguna Presa. Arica Harbor is playable in Conquest mode, while Laguna Presa will be available in Rush mode.

Heres the important part: Those of you who have already redeemed your VIP code contained on the retail box of the game, will receive this DLC for free. Not bad at all is it?

I guess you are left with the choice of Modern Warfare 2’s paid DLC (also out on the 30th March), or Bad Company 2’s free one. Let us know your thoughts on the upcoming maps.
