MW2: More Infinity Ward vs. Activision Details

By Peter Chubb - Mar 4, 2010

We recently reported of a row that has broken out between Infinity Ward and Activision, the developer and publisher respectively for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. This has now become much serious and has ended in two bosses from Infinity Ward being fired.

As with all arguments there are always two sides, which TechFreqNews aims to explain. On one side you have Activision, they are like a parent who had to get tough and punish its child. Then we have Infinity Ward, they were the ones in the firing line and were both “confused” and “freaked out” over the situation.

There are two questions being asked here, were Activision’s actions warranted and is Infinity Ward as innocent as they make out? If you visit TechFreqNews, they have debates from a few analysts who try to explain what they think has been going on.

Let us remember one thing, although royalties have yet to be paid there are a number of reasons why this could be. One of those is all about timescale, Modern Warfare 2 has only been out for a little over 90 days, there might be a minimum amount of time before monies is paid out. We are certain that the problem will sort itself out.
