LG 15-inch OLED TV (15EL9500): Release confirmed for UK

By Alan Ng - Mar 2, 2010

Following on from our report yesterday on LG’s upcoming 15-inch OLED TV set, we are pleased to confirm that the 15EL9500 model will also be releasing in the UK, sometime between April and May.

As reported from Pocket-Lint, the LG 15EL9500 is certainly an eye-catcher, with amazing dimensions such as only 3mm in thickness, whilst still being fully HD compatible.

It looks as if technology is moving on fast, as OLED is swiftly replacing the likes of LCD and Plasma TV sets. If you want to get your hands on one though, it will not be cheap. Expected price for this 15-inch model will be around £1800, so get saving.

Let us know what you think of their new OLED set. Will you be buying one?

15" inch, laughable, what would I do with such a small screen? not even big enough for a computer monitor use. Call me when they are 60". What a joke.

OLED is NOT "swiftly replacing…LCD and plasma sets" – not in the slightest.
The technology still has years to go before we can start saying this.
OLED doesn't even have 0.1% of the market.
