Google Earth: Side-by-side Android Comparison

By Peter Chubb - Mar 2, 2010

Owners of the Google Nexus One were pleased to learn that Google Earth was made available to them last week for Android 2.1. We have managed to locate a video of a side-by-side comparison of the Nexus One and the Motorola Droid running the software.

Gadget Venue has found that the Nexus One performed much faster than the Droid, although they are very similar in how they handle the program. Speed, texture and imagery running Google Earth on these smartphones are very similar as well.

Watching the video below is very interesting to see how both handsets handles things, but we are never surprised by the outcome. The source of the article does mention that the comparison that we would like to see would be the iPhone vs the Nexus One running Google Earth. Let us know if you have seen any such comparison online.

I see nothing that supports that they are clocked at the same speed.

That was AWESOME!! Loved that it was side by side, real time, doing the same thing. Made the differences very clear. Can't wait to get a Nexus One!!
