Final Fantasy XIII: Early Hands-On PS3 review – ‘It’s stunning’

By Alan Ng - Feb 24, 2010

With the western release of Final Fantasy XIII fastly approaching for PS3 and Xbox 360, we have an early hands-on teaser review for you to take a look at now, just in case you needed reassuring that this a must-have game.

The preview comes from TheSixthAxis, who were not allowed to say too much on the game, due to the embargo status, which is due to be lifted very soon.

As for their impressions though, they have called the game ‘stunning’, adding that the cut-scenes are breathtaking and that Square has ‘nailed the combat’.

Importantly, they confirm that load times are practically non-existant, and there will be no mandatory install for the game.

Check out the full hands-on in the link above.

I don't think there is an install on the PS3 version of the game.

  • Amir

This is going to be another great year for the PS3. This game may as well still be exclusive considering MS paid for the PS2 version of the game.

An MTV article recently said the 360 would require 5-6 GB of space per disc for a hard drive install, lol.

  • sarah

wonder what install space it takes up on ps3 (wanna compare install space between the two)

    • Amir

Do your research before you open your mouth and make an ass out of your self. There is no install on the PS3.

However i you choose to install it on your 360 it demands a whopping 20gb of space. Too bad for those who only have a 10gb hard drive or no hard drive at all.

"drrrr MS and XBOX FTW" drrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

There is no install for the PS3 version.

Stunning on PS3, not so on Xbox… It's hillarious purely because Microsoft put it on a pedestal.
