Toyota Incentives and 2010 Rebates: Aimed at reviving sales

Over the past few weeks we have been covering the continuing problem for Toyota over their recent vehicle recalls. However, the Japanese automaker is about to introduce some incentives and rebates in the hope of reviving sales in 2010. We have to wonder if this will be enough to repair their once bulletproof reputation.

According to a report from CNN Money, Toyota spokeswoman Celeste Migliore said that the company would offer greater support for dealers. There are two incentives being introduced, the first is increasing the cash bonus when purchasing a new Toyota vehicle, and the other is to extend the current warranty.

We have to warn you that these two incentives still have to be approved, but that look very likely. The current recall, which includes the popular Prius Hybrid was due to sticky accelerator pedals, more than half a million have already been fixed. However, with more than 8 million vehicles included in the recall, there is some way to go before all are fixed
