Toyota recall models and US readers give feedback

By Daniel Chubb - Feb 6, 2010

Following the news about owners on the Toyota recall list that are apparently in no hurry, the $2 billion bill that Toyota are facing for the recall, and the news earlier today about the 350,000 UK cars affected by Toyota’s recall, we have another update for you.

This time we wanted to share some information on a post by the BBC, which reports about the Toyota Prius recall rumors and shares reader comments from owners who have experienced problems, and those that have not.

At the time of writing the US Transportation Department has not confirmed a recall of the 2010 Toyota Prius, but they are investigating braking problems. If you head over to this post on the BBC news site, you can read about Toyota drivers and their general experiences with different models of Toyota.

This includes drivers that are affected by the Toyota recall, and those that have and haven’t experienced problems. Do you drive a Toyota vehicle?

just caught a ad for the highlander and thought , "kids have enough pressures at school and now a car ad is adding to it" In our family we have a 09 and a 94 vec. I just don't want my kids to grow up being ashamed to get into an older car and to me thats what the ad tells us as parents. If you don't have new your child will feel ashamed of you.

Have a 2009 Toyota Matrix. Have a little over 16,000 miles on it. No problems with the accelerator pedal at this time. No plans to call any Toyota service centers for the fix unless the accelerator shows problems or when the recall notice comes in the mail.
