iPhone 3.1.3: Jailbreak talk already with redsn0w v0.9.4

By Jamie Pert - Feb 3, 2010

When iPhone OS 3.1.3 launched yesterday most people went ahead with the update, however people with jailbroken handsets could not install the update as it broke the exploit.

We are now hearing that the iPhone Dev Team have created a jailbreak solution for OS 3.1.3, this solution is called redsn0w 0.9.4.

redsn0w 0.9.4 unlocks a range of Apple OS 1.3.1 complaint devices which include the “iPhone 2G, jailbreaks iPhone 3G, iPod Touch 1G and iPod Touch 2G ( non MC Models)”

If you do not own one of the above mentioned models and your handset is jailbroken you should avoid upgrading to OS 3.1.3, I’m sure the iPhone Dev Team will soon release a new version of redsn0w.

If you are looking to jailbreak your iPhone OS 3.1.3 device check out ithinkdifferent’s article as it features step by step instructions. As we hear details of another redsn0w version which unlocks more iPhone/iPod Touch’s we will keep you posted.
