PS3 ‘Arc’ Motion Controller: Release Date Delayed

By Jamie Pert - Jan 20, 2010

When we first heard about the PS3’s upcoming motion controller we were under the impression it would be released in Spring 2010, however we are now hearing that the release has been pushed back until Autumn.

It is thought that this motion controller will be called the ‘Arc’, the change of release date is pretty much official now as Sony have confirmed this.

The Autumn release date is said to be global, Sony says “the new controller, combined together with the PlayStation Eye camera, can detect the natural and intuitive movement of the hand and reflect the precise movement within the game, delivering a whole new entertainment experience on PS3”.

It will be interesting to see how the Arc compares to Project Natal, for more information check out Pocket-Lint.
