Google Android 2.1 SDK: Now available for developers

We have some great news for all you eager Android developers out there, as Google has just confirmed the release of the Android 2.1 SDK.

As reported from BGR, the improvements from Android 2.1 into 2.0 are only labelled as ‘minor’, but include additions such as new APIs for animated wallpapers, improved video handling and tweaks to Android’s Web-kit browser.

If you are interested in trying this out for yourself, it is available to download from the official website here, while it is thought that Android 2.1 itself will be available on other handsets later this month.
