2010 WGA Awards Ceremony: Modern Warfare 2, Uncharted 2 & more

The 2010 WGA Awards Ceremony is to take place next month and some of the nominees come as no surprise, Modern Warfare 2, Uncharted 2, Assassin’s Creed II and more. The ceremony is on February 20, the strange thing is, it takes place at two hotels simultaneously, the Hyatt Century Plaza in LA and the Millennium Broadway in New York.

One of the titles up for an award is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, this game has been at the top of the gaming charts for 2 months and has sold more copies than any other game. The game begins in Afghanistan, but ends up being fought on American soil.

Assassin’s Creed II carries on from the first, where we get to meet up with Joe once again. The new adventures take us to a time of Leonardo da Vinci and Pope Alexander VI. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is one of the other games in contention for a win; this is the only platform exclusive of all the games nominated.

The new game still sticks with the old theme where we join treasure hunter Nathan Drake once again. The visuals are superb and you will love the amusing dialogue. The game is certain to come home with an award.

The other game that could do well at the Writers Guild of America Award Ceremony is WET and X-Men Origins. According to The Independent, the game is a lot like a Quentin Tarantino movie and has the voice talent of Alan Cumming, who has featured in an X-Men Movie, Eliza Dushku and Malcolm McDowell.
