Whenever you think of cars that can hit 200mph plus you think of a McLaren, a couple of Ferrari’s, Lamborghini’s and the Bugatti Veyron. So you will be shocked to learn that Road & Track have taken a Suzuki Kizashi and will try to achieve the impossible, and break the 200 miles per hour barrier in it.
The current record for a blown gas coupe sits at 202mph, so the team will be at the Bonneville Salt Flats during Speed Week to work on the car to try and beat this. This will be a tough one, and you can see three videos of the build over on Road and Track.
The team also aims to break the 103mph record for a naturally-aspirated gas coupe vehicle. This should not be hard, as all the team needs to do is remove the turbo unit from the Suzuki Kizashi, and the vehicle should manage to set a new record.
The team has called in Richard Holdener to help them achieve this new world record; the question is will they manage to set both records?
