As the Paris Motor Show approaches, auto manufacturers are preparing to unveil their latest models and concepts. BMW is using this opportunity to show us its M Sport package for the 5-Series saloon and Touring models.
For the saloon a new diesel engine will be available along with the M Sport package and the option of BMW’s xDrive 4wd system. The Touring on the other hand will get more diesel and petrol engines added to the range. For the 535d, an in-line six-cylinder 295bhp will be offered, alongside a 3.0-litre in-line six producing 201bhp in the 525d. As for the 528i Touring power will be up to 255bhp.
At the show the new Executive 5-Series Touring with the new M Sport package will be displayed, in 535i xDrive and 530d xDrive variants. BMW’s 5-Series Gran Turismo will offer all engine choices and xDrive systems. With changes to the 5-Series including a new engine in the M5, and the xDrive all-wheel-drive option, it will be interesting to see how many people are moved away from the normal rear-wheel-drive layout.
