Aston Martin Cygnet now Complete: New Photos

By Peter Chubb - Dec 17, 2009

In a recent post we spoke about the upcoming Aston Martin Cygnet, at that stage there was only a clay model for us to look at. However, a couple of months down the line and Aston Martin have now released some new photos of the small car.

The Cygnet is based on the Toyota iQ with the luxury carmaker adding some of their own touches, but the jury is still out on this one. Autoblog are not too sure about this new car, it looks as though Aston Martin has worked just a bit too hard on this small vehicle.

The cheap look of the interior has gone; in its place is red and black leather. We can also expect a host of other expensive features; the cost for the Cygnet is expected to be $32,000. We are not sure if there is a market for the car, who would pay that amount for such a small vehicle?

The Aston Martin Cygent is still in concept form, but at least the model is now complete. The carmaker hopes to launch the vehicle sometime in 2010 in Europe, we are not certain if it will be heading stateside. Our guess would be no, we know American’s are embracing more fuel efficient vehicles, but will not want to pay its extortionate price.
