Recently all of the rumors surrounding the BlackBerry Curve 8530 have been looking into the Sprint release, however we are now hearing details regarding the Bell release for the handset.

According to a recent article posted on IntoMobile it seems likely that Bell will be offering the handset as of December 26th, ideal for those of you with Christmas cash burning a hole in your pocket.

Just to recap the Curve 8530 features a 3.2 inch display supporting a resolution of 320×480, a 2 megapixel camera, WiFi/GPS/Bluetooth connectivity and up to 32GB’s of storage.

We have not yet heard any details regarding the price of the handset, however it is only 10 days until its release so it shouldn’t be too long until we find out.

  • I have an 8530 and so far I’m not liking it. I’ve used almost every model of blackberry and by far, this one feels like a Palm Pre, looks like a Palm Pre which I hate. Functions keys like SEND, MENU, BACK need to be pushed harder. The entire phone feels very “plastic” and hollow. It is thinner than its predesessor (8330) so you’ll need a different holster for it. Another drawback is the surface finishing. Both back plate and front display face are very attractive to fingerprints. I don’t have sweaty nor oily hands. Never had this issue with the other BBY models. On a scale of 1 to 10, I’d give this one a 4. (I want my 8830 back). Thanks!

I was talking to a Bell rep and the price of the 8530 is 399.99 on buyout or 49.99 with data plan and 3 yr.:)
