10.5-inch iPad Pro 2 evidence before WWDC 2017

We know that the highly anticipated Apple iPhone 8 announcement is likely to be saved until after WWDC 2017 at a separate event in September.

If true it means that Apple will have to wow the world with other spectacular hardware reveals and we keep hearing persistent rumors that a new 10.5-inch iPad Pro 2 could be top of the list to headline at the event next week.

An image obtained recently by 9to5Mac shows a series of Eurasian regulator filings which display Apple model numbers for numerous unreleased products.

It is believed that the numbers ‘A1701 and A1709’ contained in the list could be specifically for Apple’s new 10.5-inch iPad Pro, although it remains to be seen what the other model numbers could relate to.

Along with the bigger display, the improved version could be offering a A10X chipset as well as a bigger battery making it an extremely attractive proposition.

Any new iPad Pro model from Apple will also be very appealing to mobile gamers who firmly believe that iPads offer the best gaming optimisation compared to when running the same apps on Android.

Are you buying a new iPad Pro model no matter what? As we wait for Apple’s announcement, tell us what your dream specs would be.
