Zoom has just released their new portable 8-track piece of recording equipment, the R8.

Not only is this device practical as it doesn’t take up much space but it also is multi-functional. It also acts as a pad sampler, control surface and an audio interface. Its small size adds to the portability of the device and it even comes with a SD card storage slot in case you can’t take the whole device with you.

It is powered by your PC or Mac via USB and when on the go requires just four AA batteries. It is compatible with whichever DAW program you prefer. if you’re interested in getting the Zoom R8 it is available now and will reportedly set you back $299.
