It was first shown off back in January at CES and since then Xi3 Corporation, the company behind the tiny modular, has announced a new version which will be running Google’s own OS. What’s most striking about this desktop PC is the sheer size of it. It measures in at just 4” x 3.656” x 3.656”.

Its chassis is basically a chrome colored box, also available in other colors, and it has three boards connected that are the guts of the machine. These three boards include the Secondary I/O modules, Primary I/O module and the Processor Module. They also house the power and video connections, RAM and microprocessor.

The ChromiumPC’s main box features a single and dual-core 64-bit x86 based processors. As far as availability and price go, Xi3 is yet to announce specifics though it is thought to be due out this year for the price around $850.
