That’s right; you can now download new costumes from three of the main characters in the game, as well as a whole bunch of other items ranging from Batman’s Batmobile to Two-Face’s coin. Each item will cost a certain amount of Microsoft points however, with the cheapest items setting you back 80 MS points while the most expensive items costs 400 MS points.

If you’re looking to completely transform your avatar into one of the three main characters available from the game, prepare to pay the highest premium as it is the costumes that will cost 400 MS points. The three character costumes available are Batman, Robin and Joker, which can be seen below. If these characters do not take your fancy there are also items that belong to the Riddler available to purchase, including his bowler hat and his cane, which are both listed at 240 MS points each.

If Catwoman is your favorite character then you may be disappointed to know that only her whip is available as an item for your avatar, which will also cost 240 MS points. If you are not prepared to pay so much, items such as the Arkham City themed t-shirts featuring the Robin logo, the Riddle logo and Nightwing design are also available, costing just 80 MS points. It looks like this has happened within the last hour, but it ISN’T affecting everyone. Some users can apparently still access the Live Marketplace, but others are not so lucky. It does appear to be a pretty serious problem though, as Microsoft has already issued the following statement to terrified gamers:

“Users may experience difficulties with the following services: Browsing Indie Games from the Xbox 360 console or Xbox.com, browsing the Games for Windows – LIVE Marketplace on a PC, Browsing Games Marketplace from the Xbox 360 console or Xbox.com.”

They added that they are currently aware of the issue and that they are working to resolve the problem. So what has happened? Did the hackers suddenly become bored of easily bypassing Sony’s security and decided to go after Microsoft instead for a greater challenge? Or is this your bog standard sporadic maintenance that none of us need to worry about?

As from next week right up until the end of April, Yoostar will be releasing a whole new batch of scenes and themed scene packs. According to Austin Cox over at gameplaytoday.com, these will be available to purchase from the Yoostores on both PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace.

Among the upcoming Hollywood scenes are: ‘I Know what love is’ from Forrest Gump, ‘Reuben commits a dating foul’ from Along Came Polly, ‘My Dad is…’ from Kindergarten Cop, ‘Make it out of here’ from Platoon, ‘Am I missing a tooth?’ from The Hangover and ‘I am a fighter’ from Rocky 2.

The new themed scene packs include Superheroes, Kids, The Hangover, Hits of the ‘80s, Ben Stiller and Star Trek. Among the upcoming Hollywood Sets are Batwing – Batman; Atop Xerxes’ throne – 300; Kong hails a cab – King Kong; Save Metropolis – Superman Returns and Slimer attacks! – Ghostbusters.

Gamers can purchase individual scenes for $2, while the 3-clip and 5-clip scene packs are priced up at $5 and $7 respectively. Have you played the Yoostar 2 game yet? If you do own the game, will you be buying any of the extra scenes etc?
