We have some great news for those that are looking forward to the exciting PPV event that is due to land in just a few hours time. The Wrestlemania 29 start time is almost upon us and for those that haven’t ordered the event yet – we have an interesting option to tempt you coming courtesy of Microsoft.

While some of you may be looking to stream Wrestlemania XXIX online in low quality, WWE and Microsoft are giving you another opportunity to tune in with minimum hassle. It has recently been confirmed that Xbox 360 users now have the opportunity to view the biggest wrestling event of the year from the comfort of their own console and television.

WWE has released a new application on the Xbox 360, which will offer Wrestlemania 29 and further WWE pay-per-view events through the year, by ordering direct through the Xbox 360 rather than through your cable operator. If you are interested in checking out the event in this way, you will need to have an Xbox Live Gold subscription, as it isn’t available for silver users.

Will Brock Lesnar be able to defeat Triple H again and will CM Punk finally end The Undertaker’s 20-0 streak in a fantastic matchup? Elsewhere, The Rock will be defending his WWE title against John Cena, the same opponent that he beat in last year’s event.

It is going to be unmissable event just like every year and it’s great to see that it is now available from the comfort of your own Xbox 360 console. As far as we’re aware, the same offer isn’t available on the PS3 yet so download the WWE App now and let us know if you’ll be buying it.

Have you ordered Wrestlemania 29 this year, or have you settled for a stream?

WWE ’12 is still just shy of a month away, yet DLC information is coming in thick and fast. Two days ago we told you about the game’s Fan Axxess offering, along with all the need-to-know details regarding DLC pack 1, now we have a Diva DLC pack to tell you about.

THQ has confirmed that this pack will consist of 6 WWE divas, these are: Trish Status, Kharma, Vickie Guerrero, Alicia Fox, Brie Bella and Nikki Bella. Sadly THQ’s dev team are still working on these characters, therefore we don’t yet have any screenshots for you to feast your eyes on.

As you would expect you will be able to buy these characters for 80 Microsoft points / $0.99 each, however if you have opted to buy Fan Axxess you will get them for free, we can’t stress how worthwhile Fan Axxess is for those of you who take WWE games very seriously.

THQ has not given us a specific date as to when these divas will become available, but we are told that Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and 3DS gamers should expect it to arrive in December, we are also led to believe that the Legends pack will be revealed next.

If you head over to THQ’s WWE webpage lots of people have been saying that Lita should have made it into this pack, we have to agree as she is still regarded by many as the best female wrestler of all time, one comments reads “Trish isn’t Trish without Lita” – do you agree?

What other divas would you like to see in WWE ’12?

WWE ’12 isn’t even out yet, however that hasn’t stopped WWE Games’ community manager, Marcus Stephenson, from revealing information regarding upcoming DLC for the game which is said to arrive shortly after the game’s November 22 release date.

Before we go into detail about all of the individual DLC, we have to point out that you will able to purchase Fan Axxess this year, this will cost you 960 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360 / $11.99 for PS3 – we are told that this will get you all of the game’s DLC and save you over 25% in the long run – therefore hardcore fans may seriously want to consider this.

The WWE ’12 DLC pack 1 will bring Shaun Michaels to the game in his ’97 Survivor Series attire, along with Jerry “The King” Lawler, also you will get Jim Ross and Michael Cole in their WrestleMania XXVII attire, the Road Warriors with their black with silver spike attire (see below) and finally Edge and Christian’s old tag team attire will be on offer.

If you want to buy things individually they will cost you 80 Microsoft Points / $0.99 a pop, therefore if you think you are going buy a few different costumes etc you may well be best of buying the Fan Axxess. You can see lots of screenshots showing the alternative costumes etc here.

One thing which some people seem to be annoyed by is the fact that by the looks of thing there will be no other attire options for Shaun Michaels, meaning that he will be stuck in 14 year old clothing – does this bother you? Would you buy more up-to-date attire if future DLC offers it? Let us know in the comments section below.

What other alternative attires would you like to see available in WWE ’12?

THQ has juts uploaded the first-ever trailer for WWE All Star 3DS, however we can’t help but think that the graphics already look dated, obviously a 2D trailer is not going to do a 3D game justice, but we still would have expected more from it.

You can watch the video at the bottom of this post, we first spoke about this game back in late August and we were impressed by the fact it allows you to battle it out between superstars, past and present, but if you check out the image we have embedded below you can see just how limited the game is visually (by the way the image is meant to look like Chris Jericho).

Now as we previously stated you should not dwell on the graphics, but instead think about gameplay, we are told that there are over 40 superstars and some all-new game modes which you can play whilst witnessing “eye-popping 3D” – we don’t have a full roster for you, but in the video we spotted Chris Jericho, Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, Macho Man Randy Savage, John Cena, Rey Myserio, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Randy Orton, Triple H, John Morrison, Sheamus, Ultimate Warrior, The Undertaker, The Rock and many more – the trailer says that this is the greatest roster of all time and we must admit it is hard not to be impressed.

If you overlook the limited visuals the game looks quite fun to play and will perhaps appeal to a younger audience, the slams and jumps from the turnbuckles are over-the-top, but let’s face it we are not looking for a wrestling simulator we want epic battles between Big Show and Andre The Giant, Hogan and Cena, The Rock and Randy Savage – we hope the controls make this game a joy to play.

Check out the video below and be sure to let us know whether you think the poor graphics matter.

Game developers and publishers continue to use social marketing strategies to build hype for games and also give gamers the feeling that they are being listened to – recently a Facebook campaign asked whether games wanted to see John Cena or The Rock as the cover star of the collector’s edition of WWE ’12 – well the votes have been counted and we can confirm that The Rock won the honor.

THQ recently tweeted this “The fans have spoken “@TheRock: It’s official! “The People’s Edition”. Team Bring It dominates CeNation. Again. http://ow.ly/i/hk8U” #WWE12″ as you can see the collector’s edition will be called WWE ’12 People’s Edition – you can see the cover art below.

Currently we do not know exactly what the People’s Edition will consist of, however we are told that people who buy this particular editions will get lots of “The Rock” themed exclusive premium content. THQ has revealed that they will reveal more information on the matter soon – it may be worth “Liking” the WWE Games Facebook Page for all of the latest information.

The social marketing campaign is quite a clever one as John Cena and The Rock will battle it out at WrestleMania XXVIII on April 1st next year – the results of the vote shows us that there is still a big fan base for The Rock who was a fan favorite in the late 90s. This proves that there will be plenty of ‘electricity’ when the two wrestlers main event the pay-per-view.

Currently we do not know how much the People’s Edition will cost, all we know is that more information should be coming soon – will you buy the WWE ’12 People’s Edition when November 22 arrives? Also what exclusive content would you like to see?(Note: The UK release will take place on November 25th)

WWE All Stars is certainly different from the wrestling games we have seen over the last few year, but is it worth purchasing? IGN recently reviewed the Xbox 360 of the game, in this article we will pick up on some of the good points and bad points raised.

IGN first picked up on its graphics, saying that they liked the style this game went for as it was distinct and bright, as for the sound there are no major issues J.R and the Jerry Lawler announce the matches and the voiceovers are good. There were mixed reviews on the grappling system early on it seems great and gives you an arcade style of fighting, however when you try and carry out more complex actions it gets confusing.

The key word to describe the game best is probably just ‘fun’ because the game doesn’t give too much in the way of depth, but it is still enjoyable enough to play for a few hours. The lasting appeal is not huge simply due to the complexity of the grappling system (which needs a manual or tutorial system), online play being jumpy and there are long loading screens, however all-in-all it sets solid foundations for a follow-up release.

The overall score given by IGN was 7/10 which is good but not likely to compete with the more established Smackdown vs Raw series, however is this a bad thing? The idea for this game was to look and feel arcade-y and also to be different, so in this sense it has succeeded. It is certainly worth downloading the demo at least to try.

Have you played WWE All Stars? If so have you been impressed by it? What changed would you make? Let us know in the comments section below.

You may have decided to fork out $50 on the showpiece WWE Wrestlemania 27 PPV this weekend, but what about the new wrestling game that is due out this week as well? It’s called WWE All Stars and it features a brand new ‘over the top’ approach to the famous squared ring action.

If you have been tuning into WWE programming, you’ll already know about All Stars since it has been promoted everywhere, and we’ve done our part by providing you with screenshots and gameplay videos along the way, but we have something even better which may tempt you into a purchase if you’re still undecided.

How about 15 minutes of uninterrupted gameplay action? That’s what we have courtesy of the guys over at Eurogamer who have provided the video. It starts off with WWE champion Randy Orton issuing a challenge to the rest of the WWE roster, then its up to you to work your way up the ladder and take him on at Wrestlemania.

You then get to see two full matches, the first a singles match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre and then a Triple Threat Elimination Match between CM Punk, John Morrison and Kofi Kingston. You can see some of the exaggerated moves in full action here – are you a fan of this style or do you prefer the classic gameplay seen in the Smackdown Vs Raw games?

Check out the video over at Eurogamer here.

If you haven’t heard about the new upcoming arcade style WWE game called WWE All Stars, we feel it’s time you did, as the game is set to appeal to those who fell in love watching WWE (or WWF) legends way back in the 90′s.

We have a new trailer for the game to show you now, as well as a reminder that this game will be available on multiplatform on March 29th. Developers THQ have just confirmed the inclusion of Macho Man Randy Savage too, which is particarly exciting since he hasn’t been featured in an official WWE product for quite some time.

He takes the center stage in the latest trailer, which you can check out below. The game will feature a collection of other legends, such as Andre the Giant, the Million Dollar Man, Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat and Bret Hart. Unlike Smackdown Vs Raw, the gameplay differs considerably, as it offers a more arcade-style approach when grappling, resulting in a lot of ‘over the top’ moves and exaggerations.

Here is a list of the roster for the game so far, courtesy of IGN, with more additions to come along the way:

- John Cena
- The Rock
- Andre the Giant
- Bret Hart
- Million Dollar Man
- Rey Mysterio
- Stone Cold Steve Austin
- Triple H
- John Morrison
- Macho Man” Randy Savage
- Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat
- Big Show
- Kofi Kingston
- Sheamus

You’ll also be pleased to know that the classic Jerry the King Lawler and Jim Ross (JR) partnership will be returning on commentary duties. Let us know your thoughts on the current roster so far, and who you would like to see featured in the game. It would be nice if the Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan make an appearance, but sadly, I don’t think it will happen considering that both of them have distanced themselves from the WWE at the moment.

If this game is anything like the classic WWF Wrestlefest arcade game that was released in 1991, then consider us interested – that game definitely set the benchmark.
