South Park: Canada On Strike: Aimed at the Writer’s Guild of America

It was only a matter of time before the guys from South Park Trey Parker and Matt Stone decided to have some fun over the recent Writer’s Guild of America strike. In the episode a song had been sung called South Park: Canada on Strike and they certainly went for the jugular.
Both Trey Parker and Matt Stone have not become members of any such union like the Writer’s Guild of America, however the pair had long ago negotiated a deal so that they get Internet profit-sharing. It is also a known fact that the two writers have a dislike for Hollywood creative elite; this includes both actors and writers.

The US writers strike is over at last

At last we can now report that the US writers’ strike that has put television and film production on hold for more than three months has officially ended.
Writers Guild of America members voted nearly unanimously to halt the action after achieving a deal to give them “a foothold in the digital age”. Read more
