So what fixes do we have for you this time then? Well, players who have the X-53 Touring Rocket, Celestial Steed, Headless Horseman’s Mount, X-51 Nether-Rocket, X-51 Nether-Rocket X-TREME, or/and Invincible mounts, you can now get your paid-for 310 percent flight speed in Eastern Kingdoms.

For players who quested to 85 and thought they could go back to entry level dungeons such as Throne of Tides or Blackrock Caverns, this was not possible as many found out. Those brackets have now changed, and as a result, players can now queue for these dungeons using the random dungeon finder under the new bracket of 80-82 instead of 80-81. The specific dungeon bracket has also changed from 80-83 to 80-85.

There are changes to the class mechanics of Hunters, Mages and Paladins along with many fixes to some problems with bosses, mobs, and their abilities in dungeons and raids.

Items and Professions have also been amongst the changes, with items now properly itemised. For example, the Amulet of Dull Dreaming and Acorn of the Daughter Tree had duplicate stats and has now been changed, aswell as Captured Lightning from The Vortex Pinnacle, which now has spirit instead of hit rating.

Having done a few searches on Google I can see that there are a few reviews that are part done, and that they will not be fully ready until a week or so. Normally with games they tend to have the reviews embargoed until a couple of days before the game is due to release – but World of Warcraft is a different animal, as you need to have many people involved in the game before you form an opinion.

Looking on the IGN website you can clearly see the message that the review is in progress, I do like the idea that they are giving themselves a chance with the game and not just banging out a mundane review that fans of the franchise will see through in a minute.

I would like to ask if any of you have been able to perform an opinion of WoW Cataclysm yet? If so then I’m certain that our readers would love your first-hand experience of the game – maybe you would be able to share some funny moments as well? It seems as though after extensive beta testing, Blizzard allowed quite a number of unintended bugs to get through to live undetected. Obviously, it wasn’t going to be long before these were addressed so no more one-shotting the opposing faction flight trainers, OK!? It made players very, very sad. Although the 500 or so players standing on top of said corpse was rather amusing from an opposing point of view.

For those of you who are having trouble with the achievement [Stood in the Fire], where Deathwing fly’s over a zone and obliterates everything in his path — it has now been fixed so if you miss it, you can stand in the fire trail he left behind and get your achievement. You can also get the it by standing in an adjacent zone if you are on the boundary of the zone hit.

Players are also not able to endlessly kite the outdoor Battlemasters, and a list of other dungeon, raid, and class fixes have also been implemented. Check them all out here, via Blizzard.

There are eight new reputations, four of which are Alliance or Horde only. Amongst the new rewards, we will get our new helm and shoulder enchants. Some of which are BOA (Bind on Account) and some that are BOP (Bind of Pickup). We also have new mounts to grind for, new tabards (most of which can be obtained at Friendly, and can be used to grind reputation in dungeons) and new epics.

Guardians of Hyjal offer a tabard at friendly, to which can be obtained by questing in the 78+ zone for around 20 minutes. Notable rewards consist of a spellcaster helm enchant and epic items at exalted. View entire list of rewards.

Earthen Ring are located in the new Cataclysm zone Vashj’ir, which has been split in to several different zones. It is also home to the Subdued Abyssal Seahorse, which is an underwater mount. The entire list can be found here, but ones you want to look out for are the new tanking helm enchant, and some great spellcasting epics.

Ramkahen are a bunch of cat people in Uldum who descent from the Tol’vir, the new 83-84 questing area. If you are a physical dps spec, then this is the faction to rep with by doing dungeons and quests with the tabard as you get your hands on a physical DPS head enchant. Oh yea, and you can also grind out those camel mounts too! See the full list.

Therazane is the new faction in Deepholm. You start at hated, but as you quest through you gain up to honored and get the rest from doing daily quests and dungeon runs, again by wearing the tabard. Therazane is going to play a major part in 85 questing as it is the new home for shoulder enchants for all classes and specs, much like Sons of Hodir in Wrath of the Lich King. Full list here.

Dragonmaw Clan (Horde Only) have realigned with the Horde after once being servants of Illidan in The Burning Crusade. You can find them in the Twilight Highlands, where they will provide you with epics and a strength-orientated helm enchant. A tabard is also available. Here is the list of available items.

Wildhammer (Alliance) are also residing in the Twilight Highlands, and are at war with the Horde equivalent — Dragonmaw Clan. They are a clan of dwarves who also provide a strength-orientated helm enchant and a tabard. Full list.

Baradin’s Wardens (Alliance) and Hellscream’s Reach (Horde). Neither of these provide you with a tabard, so all rep will have to come from questing dailies and participating in PVP battles. Much like Winterspring of Wrath, players battle for control of Tol Barad, with the winners holding the area for a specific amount of time. Rewards to note of here include two mounts — Reins of the Spectral Steed and Reins of the Drake of the West Wind. Other important trinkets can also be obtained. Check out the full list here.

The initial transition phase is out of the way with Patch 4.0.3 and the Elemental Invasion playing dramatic roles pre-Cataclysm. Talent tree’s have been revamped, the old world has been sundered and Deathwing has left his mark on the world, as seen via the new cinematic.

New gear has been obtained, new characters have been leveled, but now it’s finally time to get our main and level through 5 more levels of exciting content. Not to mention the new tier of raids that I bet you are all excited to take part in.

There has been some confusion though considering the exact release times for each continent. We can officially clear this up by stating that every WoW player will be able to buy, download and play Cataclysm from 12:00am, their time. Although there are some fundamental details you should be aware of.

EU players on the Central European Time (CET) zone can expect to get the game at 12am too, whether or not you pre-ordered a digital download or want to grab it from your local store where there is a host of launch events happening everywhere. This also means that players in England can get the expansion one hour early, which means they can get it at 11:00pm, December 6 GMT.

As regards to players on the PST and EST time zones, you will have slightly different times depending on what time zone you are in. Read the blue post below that explains all you need to know.

On all North American realms, World of Warcraft players who upgrade to Cataclysm will be able to begin experiencing the new content at 12 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (3 a.m. Eastern Standard Time) on December 7, whether they purchase the digital download through Battle.net or buy a physical retail boxed version in stores. Players will not be able to access Cataclysm expansion content prior to 12 a.m. PST, regardless of how they upgrade or what time zone they’re located in.

According to a blue post on the official World of Warcraft forums, Bashiok confirmed that no matter how or where you buy your copy of Cataclysm, you will have to wait until 12:00am PST on December 7 to start playing.

Now that’s all well and good for those of you living on the west coast, but for those of you who live elsewhere (east coast), it looks as though you are going to have to wait at least a couple of hours for the west coast to catch up before you are able to play.

European players on the otherhand are not affected, as their release will coincide with Paris time, meaning that you will be able to play Cataclysm at midnight CET.

Well not any more, as it is my guess that Blizzard want everyone to be able to enjoy the content at exactly the same time (as well as making the realm firsts fair on everybody in Azeroth).

That’s right, you will be able to change from your Horde character, maybe your boring bulky Tauren to a dashing new Goblin, or your Alliance toon, maybe an annoying little Gnome to a creepy and rather compelling Worgen.

Blizzard say that you will be able to do this immediately upon Cataclysm‘s launch. So we recon that would be 12:01am PST on December 7 2010.

We also have word that race-specific achievements for the first to get to level 85 have been removed, and is now only limited to class-only.

As reported from Joystiq, it is going to take gamers a while to get used to the amount of abilities on offer, but once you do, the spells are sure to give you that extra edge in battle when needed.

Spells such as Flame Orb, Ring of Frost, Totemic Wrath and Rolling Thunder have been mentioned, but which spell do you like the most after installing the 4.0.1 update?

Kyle Horner from GamePro seems more excited than most about WoW Cataclysm, but before we take a look at his preview we thought that you would need reminding that Jamie Pert also took a closer look at what we can expect from World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Collector’s Edition, which will retail at $79.99 once it gets released.

So on to the preview of the game, Horner believes that this expansion pack offers more than some of the previous ones, such as Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King – only time will tell if he is right about that.

World of Warcraft Cataclysm is like most of the other expansion packs, as it aims to focus on a key event – this one being all about an escaped dragon who then decides to begin a reign of destruction throughout Azeroth.
