Following on from our article yesterday, which informed you that cut and paste will no longer be a feature within Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 Series, it has now been revealed that the feature has just been removed from launch ‘only’ – meaning that a release in the future is still a possibility.

As reported from BGR, the news has come from Windows blogger Long Zheng, who has stated that the feature will be rolled out to customers soon after launch – does that mean early 2011 then?

It is also thought that Microsoft’s development team need additional time to work on how to integrate copy and paste into the code of the Phone 7 Series OS.

Good news then, as it has not been ruled out completely. Let us know your thoughts on this.

For old Windows Mobile users the release of the IE Mobile 6 browser currently running on existing Windows Mobile 6.5 devices came as a welcome improvement. However on Windows Phone 7 the mobile web browser will be another leap forward.

When released during the Fall the Windows Phone 7 device will supersede the IE6 core, the first to offer a full HTML rendering, with an “evolved version” of IE7. Although no technical details have been released the evolution will no doubt take on the core elements of IE7, released in late 2006, and various features from IE8 which was released in 2009.

Demonstrations at Microsoft’s developer conference showed some of the improvements, such as four-point multitouch, where you are able to zoom in and out by pinching your fingers across the screen, “deep zoom” for high fidelity extreme close-ups and a very fast, smooth operation.

What are your thoughts on the Windows Phone 7? See a full report on networkworld.

Some interesting news to come direct out of Microsoft’s MIX10 event, as the company has revealed that their upcoming slew of Windows Phone 7 Series handsets, will NOT have support for Multitasking or ‘User-replaceable’ memory cards.

As reported from Pocket-Lint, Microsoft has explained that the inclusion of multitasking on Windows Phone 7 handsets, may have a bearing on battery life and performance – so they have decided to remove this, for the time being.

Also surprising, is the removal of MicroSD support, often seen in the current crop of handsets today, as Microsoft insists that they will be forcing manufacturers to make use of internal memory – and have lots of it available to consumers.

We can understand ditching MicroSD, but no multitasking? A very interesting and bold move by Microsoft I think. Let us know your thoughts on this.

If you are eager to hear more on Microsoft’s upcoming Windows Phone 7 Series operating system, we have fresh details on the OS, direct from Microsoft’s MIX10 event in Las Vegas.

As reported from Pocket-Lint, Microsoft were demoing some new features at the event, such as how supported handsets will make use of their Silverlight technology – now at version 4.0.

Microsoft states that developers will have control over things like the accelerometer, camera and video, location services, and perhaps best of all – multitouch features for handsets that support it.

The company also explained how purchases could be made on the Phone 7 Marketplace, using examples such as one-time credit card purchases and mobile operator billing.

Companies signed up to develop Apps and Games for Windows Phone 7 so far, include the likes of EA, Namco, Sling Media, Shazam, IMDB and Foursquare.

Head to Pocket-Lint for a full report, and pictures of the Windows Phone 7 Associated Press application.

We have some great news for consumers looking to pick up a Windows Phone 7 handset now, as a new video has hit the internet, in which a Microsoft exec has given us another sneaky peek at things to come in the next few months.

As reported from BGR, the video comes to us courtesy of Cnet, who managed to get some time with Microsoft’s Charlie Kindel – who talked a little more about the OS in general, the developer experience, Xbox LIVE features and much more.

It was quite amusing to see Kindel take a Windows Phone 7 handset out of his pocket in an instant, and then show us all the different features on it – most of which are not expected until late 2010 when WP7 handsets eventually release.

Watch the video below, and then let us know your thoughts on it.

We mentioned a few days back that the new Windows Phone 7 Series will offer support for Xbox Live, but what about the possibility of the handset offering support for Sony’s PSN. Could we ever have a phone with Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 support?

PC World has been looking in to comments that Michael Chang, Microsoft senior product manager had said to TechRadar.com. He said that they never block anything on their mobiles, so we could be looking at Microsoft offering PS3 support, or can we?

This certainly sounds like an ideal phone, but with all the politics involved, PC World does not expect Sony to play ball. Sony have yet to kick of their app market, but we all know that these applications are seen as the future, so why is Sony a little late to the party?

If you are hoping for the Windows 7 Phone Series to offer both Xbox Live and PSN support, then you could have a long wait.

All the talk this week has been about Windows Phone 7 Series – and rightly so. We have an in-depth review for you to read now, which explains how Microsoft has finally got it right with the upcoming release of Windows Phone 7.

The review comes to us courtesy of Gizmodo, who have stated that Microsoft has now joined the race alongside Apple and Google, in the mobile bragging department.

If you are still eager to read up on everything Windows Phone 7 has to offer, then this is definitely the review that you want to be reading.

Spread across categories such as the main interface, zune features, the exciting people tab, Xbox Live integration and much more, there is even an included video for you to watch too.

There is also a specific section for all you business users too, with detailed information on emailing and interacting your phone with MS Office features.

Microsoft are surely onto a winner here. Everyone I know is buzzing right now. Take a look at the review in full, then let us know what you think.
