There are four new app versions to install, if you are accessing this article from your BlackBerry simple click on the download links to install the apps over-the-air. You can download AIM v2.5.78 here, GTalk v2.5.81 here, Yahoo! v2.5.81 here and Windows Live Messenger v2.5.81 here.

We have checked the CrackBerry forums and most people seem to be able to install these app versions without any issues as long as they are running OS 6.0. Don’t be too surprised if certain versions of OS 6 experience difficulties with some of the new apps as there are lots of builds out there, therefore it wouldn’t be a surprise if there were some compatibility issues for some.

Sadly we cannot find a changelog for these app versions, therefore the only way to see what’s new is to install them yourself. Give them a try and let us know which app you like the most and what significant changes you have noticed.

iPhone iOS 4: Windows Live Messenger – No Multitasking? http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/06/21/iphone-ios-4-windows-live-messenger-no-multitasking/ http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/06/21/iphone-ios-4-windows-live-messenger-no-multitasking/#comments Mon, 21 Jun 2010 10:55:06 +0000 Jamie Pert http://www.product-reviews.net/?p=102885 Later today Apple will launch iOS 4 for iPhone and iPod Touch, therefore I was quite surprised to hear that a new Windows Live Messenger app arrived at the App Store recently, especially as there is no evident support for one of iOS’s biggest features, multitasking.

According to Recombu’s recent article, the free app is quite impressive as it offers instant messaging with both Windows Live Messenger and Y! Messenger contacts, not only this but it integrates Facebook, MySpace, Flickr and Hotmail within the app.

Rather than utilizing iOS 4′s multitasking capabilities the app uses push notifications, personally I don’t understand why they didn’t delay the release of the app and develop it to fully utilize iOS 4′s capabilities.

To run the app you need to have an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad running iPhone OS 3.0 or later. If you check out the source link below you can find out more about Windows Live Messenger for iPhone, you can download the app here.
