Consumer electronics fans will be glad to get Christmas out of the way as this will pave the way for CES 2013 and while there will be a huge range of products on show, one that will certainly grab some attention is the new Westinghouse 4K LED TV. However, there’s a fear that if this 110-inch 4K LED TV still looks like a Westinghouse then it could put a few people off, but it’s all about value as well.

What makes this model so special is that it’s significantly larger than what we have seen in recent months, and this is something that Westinghouse will play on. However, because they have yet to share any details, such as the 110-inch Westinghouse 4K LED TV specs and price, it has been reported that there are a few surprises in store for consumers during CES 2013.

In the past this television manufacturer has been guilty of not building TVs with sexy thin bezels like Samsung, so are not very pleasing on the eye. However, we do know that many consumers have been happy with their Westinghouse TVs because of their value for money and how long they last consumers, although this isn’t the case for everyone. What we do find amazing is that you get a cheap brand manufacturer like Westinghouse bringing out a 110-inch 4K TV, when some of the big boys don’t even have one on the market yet.

As we mentioned above there are a few smaller 4K LED TVs coming to the market, one such model is the Sony XBR-84X900 4K Ultra HD TV, but you’ll really need to be committed to this kind of technology as it will set you back $24,999.99 – cannot see the larger Westinghouse version having a price anywhere near that figure can you?

It has been a while since we first learned about OLED TVs so just maybe we could see more affordable OLED displays on show during CES 2013, surely this would be something consumers would much rather see than oversized TVs that are out of reach for a majority of us?

If you have bought a Westinghouse TV model during last year’s Black Friday holiday sales, you’ll know that these sets tend to go for half the original price and are always one of the quickest doorbuster products to sell out at selected retailers. You can bet that there will once again be a chance to purchase a Westinghouse model for a good price this year, and one model which you may want to look out for is the VR-4625.

Main specs of this LCD HDTV include full 1080p HD, thanks to a 1920 x 1080 picture resolution. This model weighs 70.5 pounds, has a 60Hz refresh rate, a brightness of 400 cd/m² and a digital TV tuner. You’ll be pleased to hear that there are three HDMI slots on this particular model, as well as a VGA port in case you want to hook up your old PC if it doesn’t have a HDMI port.

A few things to take into consideration before buying:1) It isn’t an LED model, meaning that you are not going to get the best picture quality for your model. 2) The overall reliability of Westinghouse TV models have been called into question on various support boards online, so it may be better you spending just a little bit more for that extra guarantee.

However, if you just want to pick one up as a secondary TV for another room, then go ahead. Good luck trying to get one though, because as we said these models are one of the hottest items you can buy each year. Since the VR-4625 looks to be a brand new model for 2011, there doesn’t appear to be any reviews as of yet unfortunately. It may be a good idea to take a look at a professional review for a different Westinghouse model though, like CNET’s review for the 40-inch VK-40F580D for example.

Considering that this is the best deal and the most desired, how do you plan to get one? Well, the first thing you’ll need to do is get an early night’s sleep on Thursday November 25th, as if you don’t get to Target before 4am opening time on Black Friday, the chances of you picking one up are very slim.

Target has already warned in their Ad listing that quantities of this TV are ‘limited’ and you’ll only be able to buy one TV per customer – sorry to burst your bubble if you were planning to get several.

You can bet that some shoppers are preparing to go to Target stores well in advance of the 4am opening time, so you might also want to bear that in mind if you plan to beat the queues.
