The good old holiday is getting more expensive, although we’re seeing many companies try and push deals to secure your money.

This was highlighted on a new cruise ship news website, found at cruiseshipnews.co.uk. Blogs are popping up everyday, and so are news websites on niche topics, so why should this one be any different? In a nutshell it’s not, their aim is to “keep you informed” on the latest cruise ship news, although they have an interest in the family “perspective”.

With cruise ships being known for the “older” generation, this now seems to be changing. More and more families are taking the plunge into cruising, and never looking back after they get a taste. While they could be seen as an expensive option, some families are getting amazing last minute deals with ships needing to fill the rooms before sailing.

Cruise Ship News has a Facebook channel that you can follow here, and like most new sites, a Twitter channel.

The site has been out of service for some time now and there is no news of when the site will be back up. When you try and connect to the site all you see is the server timed out message.

Slickdeals forum site is up and has the message “We are in the process of moving our servers. You will be temporarily redirected to www.3.slickdeals.net and various *3.slickdeals.net sites. Once your DNS servers update, the url will be back to normal.”

But the site is not redirecting as it should, and you are left with the message screen. Have you tried to use the site since it has been down? And have you tried using a different deals site instead? Or are you going to wait until Slickdeals is back up?
