By now many of you will have been enjoying gliding through the skies as the Dark Knight in the latest game, Batman: Arkham City, many of you except the PC gamers that is. This is because the release of the game on the PC has been delayed on more than one occasion. After being scheduled for a November 18th release, news that it is to be delayed once more has emerged.

The game was released on both the Xbox 360 and the PS3 consoles last month, at the time an exact release date for the PC version was still unclear. Now the publisher, Warner Bros. has come out and confirmed the different dates for different parts of the world, finally solving the PC release date riddle once and for all. We were able to find out the exact dates thanks to VG24/7.

North Americans will be the first to get the PC version of the game, which will be available on November 22nd. Those of you in the UK will have to wait a little while longer as it is not available here or in other counties in Europe until November 25th. The French get it a day earlier than the rest of Europe on November 24th and those in Australia can expect the game to be available November 23rd. Steam also confirmed that they would not have the PC version of the game available until November 22nd, backing up the new delays.

If you are still unsure whether or not you will be purchasing the game, on any platform, check out the news of the reviews we have brought you, they might just be enough to help you decide. What platform will you be getting the game on? If you have already played it what do you think of it?

It is common for a game to contain a few easter eggs as players have especially become used to seeing easter eggs thanks to the popular zombie mode contained in Call of Duty Black Ops. However, the following Batman Arkham City easter egg is a bit special, as it looks like Rocksteady has secretly paid tribute to Mortal Kombat in their game.

If you weren’t previously aware, Rocksteady and NetherRealm Studios (Mortal Kombat developers) are both subsidiaries of Warner Bros, so when you think about it, it doesn’t seem too farfetched that one developer would compliment the other – we just didn’t think we would see a Mortal Kombat reference in a Batman game that’s all.

As discovered by DynamicGamer, it looks like Kitana has found her way into Arkahm City as one of the detainees of Arkham City. Her appearance definitely fits that of Kitana, although her costume appears to be just show a ‘darker’ shade of blue, to fit in with the overall styling of Arkham City, as opposed to Kitana’s much bolder blue attire that we have become used to seeing in MK.

Further clues that this is Kitana can be found in the description of the female prisoner by The Penguin, as you can hear him saying the words: “Now this little minx is a real puzzle. Where did she come from? How did she kill eight of my men before we managed to hold her down and beat her into unconsciousness!? All I know is… I like her pajamas.”

Considering that she has no name or identity, we’d say this is definitely a Mortal Kombat easter egg in the game, but the question that now enters our mind is ‘Will NetherRealm Studios return the compliment in Mortal Kombat 10‘? That would be pretty awesome if there were some sort of Batman elements featured in the follow-up to MK9 – Dare we even say it – Batman or Joker as a DLC character for MK10? Maybe we’re getting a little carried away here.

What are your thoughts on this easter egg, have you found it in-game yet? Check out the video below which shows Kitana in action.

Rocksteady Studios’ upcoming Batman: Arkham City has got to be one of the most anticipated video games of this year, so you can imagine the excitement that was created among fans when they heard reports of a Collector’s Edition last week. There was no extra information at that stage however, so nobody really knew what the CE would include.

However, we do have a bit of good news now, as according to a recent article by Isaac Calon over at gamerant.com, the Batman: Arkham City Collector’s Edition contents have now been unveiled. Although we do have to point out that Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment still hasn’t officially confirmed it yet, so things could possibly change.

The standout bonus item of the Batman: Arkham Asylum Collector’s Edition was a replica batarang mounted on a stand, which has now been replaced with a premium statue for the Collector’s Edition of Batman: Arkham City. The downside is that it is still unclear at this point which character has been given the special statue treatment.

As Isaac notes, the information appears to be about the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 releases of the Batman: Arkham City Collector’s Edition, with no word yet on a PC edition. According to VengefulYar over on the buypoe.com website, the CE was originally listed on both the Best Buy and GameStop websites, but GameStop appear to have removed their listing since.

Those who purchase the Batman: Arkham City Collector’s Edition will not only receive the premium statue by Kotobukiya, they will also get an art book, exclusive early access to digital add-on content and Gotham Knight animated content. The question you may be asking at this point is how much will the Collector’s Edition cost?

The answer to that question is $99.99. The Batman: Arkham Asylum Collector’s Edition – which contained an art book, in-game DLC, a replica batarang, a bonus DVD and a copy of the game itself – was very well received when it was released back in 2009. The question now is whether or not the Batman: Arkham City CE will be just as popular?

I guess that may depend on which character gets the statue treatment. The Batman: Arkham City game is due to arrive on October 18th in North America, and will be available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. There is also a Nintendo Wii U version in the works, but this won’t be released until sometime in 2012.

Are you tempted by the Batman: Arkham City Collector’s Edition at all?

Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have done a pretty good job of whetting our appetites for their upcoming Batman: Arkham City game, what with all the screenshots, teaser trailers and details that have been revealed so far. In fact, the action-adventure stealth game – which will be available for the PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and PC – has got to be one of this year’s most anticipated titles.

Although fans were treated to a teaser trailer back in December last year, the video was unfortunately very short and didn’t really show us much. Another couple of trailers were then released in March this year, which not only showed us some of the impressive graphics, but also gave us a glimpse of the gameplay. We have some even more good news now, as a new 12-minute ‘epic’ gameplay trailer has just been released.

As C.J. Smillie over on the gamerant.com website recently noted, the new trailer – which we have embedded for you below this post – starts off with Catwoman beating up all of Two-Face’s minions and stealing from him, only to be captured by the supervillian himself. The video then skips 24 hours to where Batman is seen tracking Two-Face down to a local courthouse. He is then seen rescuing Catwoman and capturing Two-Face.

The key mechanics of the Batman: Arkham City game haven’t really changed that much since the Batman: Arkham Asylum title and although the stealth aspects, the fighting and traveling through the city are all the same, the gliding has changed to allow Batman to ascend and descend. Another interesting addition to the game in C.J. Smillie’s opinion is the informants, which could possibly add an extra level of challenge for those players trying to get 100% game completion.

While we are on the subject of 100% game completion, Rocksteady’s Dax Ginn revealed some rather interesting information during an interview last month. Although Gin said that the amount of content in the Batman: Arkham City game should amass to around 25 hours of play, another 25 hours can be added onto that for those that want to max out the game to 100% with all of the extras.

If you want to check out the box art for the much-anticipated Batman: Arkham City game, then visit our previous article here. As Alan Ng noted in the article, the new box art features a side-on view of Batman holding on to a building statue. Are you looking forward to playing the Batman: Arkham City?

We have some good news for those of you who are planning to pick up Batman Arkham City later on in October, as Warner Bros has just released the official box art for the game, and it’s very much different to previous images that were rumored to had been chosen for the box art.

Warner Bros had earlier released a previous image of the box art for Batman Arkham City, but it appears that they have now had a change of heart and gone with a completely different design. Compared to the front view of Batman posing in a fighting style looking straight on, the new box art image now features Batman at a side-on view holding on to a building statue with Wayne Enterprises visible in the background.

We definitely prefer this new look box art image compared to the old one, and we’re glad that the black-white color theme has been retained as well as it really adds to the whole dark and mysterious ‘aura’ that’s now associated with the Batman video game reboot following on from the excellent Arkham Asylum game.

The game will feature pretty much everyone you know and love from the Batman franchise, that includes the return of the Joker and Poison Ivy from Arkham Asylum, while you’ll also see appearances by The Riddler, Penguin, Catwoman as a playable character and even Robin as a playable bonus character in the challenge maps included in the game.

If the game turns out to be as good as Arkham Asylum, then it’s going to be one to look out for at the end of the year, and also a perfect game to play when you need a break from the likes of Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 which are also both due out towards the end of the year. It’s probably too early to tell whether this will turn out to be a candidate for G.O.T.Y like it’s predecessor, but we’re hoping that the first solid gameplay for the game won’t disappoint as there’s a lot of expectation riding on the sequel.

Are you looking forward to picking up Arkham City in October? Let us know your thoughts on the new box art for the game. Is it better than the previous one released by Warner Bros or not? We’ve provided the image for you below, courtesy of VG247 so you can see what it looks like for yourself.

Today we have some massive news for any of you who have ever visited the Flixster or Rotten Tomatoes websites, a recent article posted on NPR suggest that Warner Bros has purchased the sites.

By purchasing Flixter, Warner Bros has in-turn inherited Rotten Tomatoes, exactly what Warner Bros has planned is currently a mystery, however a recent article posted on GigaOm suggest that we could potentially see Flixter become an application which will allow people to buy digital movies, not just Warner Bros films.

Sources suggest that the deal may have been worth as much as $90 million, before the deal Flixter’s applications for iPhone and iPad became extremely popular along with the Flixter app for Facebook. You can check out the Flixster app for Facebook here, the app for iPhone and iPad here. If you want the Windows Phone 7, Android or BlackBerry apps check out this link.

At the moment details regarding the deal are scarce, along with what Warner Bros has in store for Flixtser users, therefore we will have to keep you posted as we hear more.

What do you want to see Warner Bros do with Flixster? Are you worried about what changes will be made? Let us know in the comments section below.

Facebook has expanded and diversified hugely since its arrival on the web as it has grown in popularity and the next big thing seems to be movie rentals. This is not exactly a new feature, however it is certainly one that seems to be growing on the site as they have added 5 new titles to their collection.

“The Dark Knight” has already been available on Facebook for quite a while , now we can confirm that Warner Bros has expanded the selection and included the following new films: “Yogi Bear”, “Inception”, “Life As We Know It”, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone” and “Harry Potter and the Chamber Of Secrets”. (You can download any of these by clicking on the name of the film).

The full report from CNET can be seen here. The films are being retailed at $4 per movie (although Dark Knight is on sale for $3), the films will be paid for using Facebook credits. According to sources the exchange equates to roughly $1 to 10 Facebook Credit. Warner Bros has made it clear that the releases on Facebook are purely for trial to see if people will use the service and watch the films

Film makers and producers have been using social networking sites to test out means of promoting their films for a while and Twitter has been another target for producers in particular.

We wonder if this service will grow in popularity in 2011, have you used Facebook Movie Film Rentals? If so please sum up the experience in the comments section below.

Way back in July last year it was confirmed that a Green Lantern game was in the works, and that it would be arriving around about the same time that the much-anticipated movie hits the big screen. At that point that was the only bit of information that was revealed.

However, it now appears that a few more details have been revealed. According to Mark Langshaw over at digitalspy.co.uk, Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment has just confirmed that the upcoming Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters game will be coming to the Nintendo 3DS.

The Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters game – which is developed by Griptonite Games – will take advantage of the Nintendo 3DS console’s stereoscopic 3D capabilities. There is also said to be a 2D version of the game in the works for the Nintendo Wii and standard DS console.

In the meantime, Double Helix Games is also working on a different version for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game will see players taking control of Hal Jordan, as he takes flight across the galaxy with the Green Lantern ring and battles against the Manhunters.

Both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game will also enable a second player to join in the game and control Sinestro. The Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters game will be available as from June 10th, while the Green Lantern movie opens on June 17th.

Can you see yourself playing the Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters game?

We have a bit of good news now for those of you that have been waiting to hear about an official launch date for the much-anticipated F.E.A.R. 3 game, as Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment has just confirmed a UK release date for the Day 1 Studios-developed title.

According to Wesley Yin-Poole over at eurogamer.net, the first-person horror shooter will be arriving in UK stores on Friday, May 27th. The F.E.A.R. 3 game was originally meant to have been released back in the autumn last year, but has unfortunately seen a few delays since then.

The last delay announcement came back in January of this year, when Warner Bros Interactive revealed that they were pushing the game back until May 2011. At the time, the publisher said that the delay was because they wanted to deliver the best possible game to their customers.

F.E.A.R. 3 will bring co-operative play to the spooky first-person shooter series. Gamers will be playing as Alma’s two sons: Paxton Fettel and Point Man. One of the sons focuses on telekinetic weaponry, while the other concentrates on time-slowing and guns.

The game will be available on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. Are you looking forward to playing the F.E.A.R. 3 game?

It looks like Warner Bros are aiming to make their movies available in as many ways as they possibly can at the moment. Back in February they announced the release of special “App Editions” of Inception and The Dark Knight, and now it appears they have launched a new movie rental service on Facebook.

Yes, you did read that correctly!! According to Dean Takahashi over on the venturebeat.com website, Facebook users will now be able to rent films directly on the popular social networking website, and watch them within the Warner Bros studio’s movie fan pages.

Users will of course have to use their Facebook Credits to rent a movie, with each rental costing 30 Facebook Credits ($3). The only film available at this stage however is Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight, although the studio has promised that more titles will be made available in the future.

Those who have previously “liked” The Dark Knight movie can rent the film through its official Facebook page. All fans have to do is click the rent icon and apply their Facebook Credits, and the will be available to watch within seconds. However, the offer is only available to those in the US at the moment.

As with many other movie rental services, users have access to the rented movie through their Facebook account for up to 48 hours after they purchased it. The service even enables them to pause the movie and resume watching it once they log back into their Facebook account.

Another great feature is the fact that it enables users to post comments about the movie and interact with their Facebook friends. Would you spend you Facebook Credits on renting a movie when more titles become available?
