This recently released application called Magic Map 1.0 is brought to you by Adelie Software, and is available for owners of the iPhone and iPad. The application uses GPS and a compass to guide users around the parks to all the rides and entertainment, as well as dining and much more. It not only covers Walt Disney World, but also Disneyland and California Adventure.

The application will automatically locate your nearest points of interest, and will quickly guide you to them using the compass. No longer will you have to locate a map and find where you are in the parks, just launch the app and see which way to go. All the separate parks at Walt Disney World are covered, which include Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios.

There is even a demo mode for when you’re outside the parks to try the app at home. Magic Map has over 450 waypoints that include ATMs, guest relations, restrooms, rides and attractions, restaurants and snack shops, and much more.

Magic Map 1.0 is currently being offered for 50% off until the end of today, and is available worldwide on the App Store for $3.99/£2.49. Requires iPhone 3GS or later, or iPad with 3G with iOS 4.0 minimum.

The application is available for owners of Android devices and the iOS platform. It has more than 300 pages of in-depth information combined with over 750 original and exclusive high quality images. You will find all of Walt Disney World Resort in the palm of your hand, and it doesn’t need an internet connection.

Information contained in the application includes what’s new, annual events, tickets, dining, tours, vacation planning tips, information on Disney’s Fastpass, hidden Mickey’s Tours, guests with disabilities, and so much more. Walt Disney World Notescast 3.6 is available worldwide on the App Store for only $2.99 and via the Android Market.

A free application for Android users is Disney World Wait Times Lite, which is an application that gives users real-time wait times and maps for the resort. It covers all of the resorts locations in one application with over 2,000,000 wait time data points that are enhanced by real-time user submissions. We already know that Microsoft will have lots of new titles supporting the Kinect motion controller. And now it seems if Microsoft will continue to push the device as the family based device, with a new partnership with Disney, according to an article by Eddie Makuch on Gamespot.

Sources have managed to find domain names that have been registered by Microsoft for Kinect Disney World, Kinect Disneyland, Disneyland Kinect, Disneyland Adventures, and Kinect Magic Kingdom. At the moment there is no information about what the domain names mean, and we will just have to wait for the Microsoft press event which kicks off later today.

If they are for some new Kinect titles, gamers could find themselves wandering around a virtual Disney World meeting Mickey and his friends. You may even get to ride some of the amazing Disney attractions in the virtual world.

Walt Disney World Hidden Mickey’s 1.5 by TimeStream Software has just updated its application, and now has more than 150 hidden Mickey’s located around all four of the theme parks. This app is the only Hidden Mickey’s application that also has photos. This will make the task of finding them all even more fun.

The application is downloaded straight to the device so no Wi-Fi or internet access is needed to enjoy it. The app covers Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. Many visitors to the parks are not aware of all the hidden references to Mickey and his friends throughout the park.

Developed by TimeStream Software, the app contains more than 300 pages of interactive information, combined with over 500 colorful photos. The application is great for people planning a trip to Walt Disney World, and covers nearly every aspect of the entire resort.

Some of the information included in the app include; dining, history, parades, phone numbers, tips, annual events, what’s new, hidden Mickey tours, and much more. No internet signal is needed as all the information is stored in the device.

The “Walt Disney World” Notescast for Android is only $3.99 and can be found on the Android Market in the Travel category.

As reported from GEarthBlog, the new images give us a birdseye look at some new construction works going on at the park. If you’ve been to Disney World Orlando before, you’ll know that it is a great park – but some new attractions wouldn’t go a miss.

You’ll be able to see images of Fantasyland Construction, Hacienda de San Angel construction, Golden Oaks million dollar homes construction and also an interesting look at the Flower and Garden festival.
