During CES this year Vizio shared with us their upcoming tablet range and while they currently have just an 8-inch model, all that is about to change with three new models soon to hit the market. However, all we are interested in today is the Vizio 10-inch Android tablet and how it compares to its main competitor, the Nexus 10, although there could be a new version of the latter by the time Vizio release their new tablet.

When you look at some of the key features both the Nexus 10 and Vizio 10-inch tablet are evenly matched, but it’s not until you dig a little deeper that you see that the Vizio could outperform its rival because of the Tegra 4 processor, which is said to be much faster and offer far better performance than previous versions of this chip.

Both the Nexus 10 and Vizio 10-inch tablets run Google Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, although you’ll notice from the video below that the latter tablet was running the older 4.1 OS. Internal storage for the Vizio tablet is 32GB with the Nexus 10 offering a choice of 16 GB or 32 GB. While we know that the Nexus has a 5-megapixel main camera and a 1.9-megapixel rear camera, Vizio did not specify the specifics of theirs.

Both devices are evenly matched when it comes to screen resolution at 2560 x 1600, but we have to point out how much lighter Vizio’s 10-inch slate is when compared to Samsung’s Nexus 10. The most positive feature would have to be the minimalist design of the Vizio, but this did not come easy, as they had to balance battery performance while not compromising on weight but the end result is a tablet that is lighter than the Nexus 10 and iPad 4.

Which tablet will you choose? Where the Vizio 10-inch Android tablet could have the edge over the Nexus 10 is the fact that there will be far better support for accessories. Now some of you will say that they don’t mind the sacrifice with the Nexus 10 because they get stock Android OS, but Vizio also uses stock software so no skins or anything else to compromise its speed and ability to get an operating system update quickly. There is no price details for the new Vizio 10-inch Android tablet but we do know that it will be released in the second half of the year.

Having already announced that they were to launch an 11.6-inch Windows 8 tablet, Vizio has now seen fit to bring a couple of Android running tablets to CES, which looks very much like a pair of new Nexus 7 and 10 rivals. However, what we are most interested in is the fact that the larger model will come with the newly announced Nvidia Tegra 4 chip, and the smaller tablet being powered by the Tegra 3 chip.

As yet Vizio have yet to name their new tablets or offered a release date or price, but we expect it to be more competitive than the two Nexus tablets. The 7-inch Vizio tablet will have almost the same hardware as the Nexus 7, which not only includes that Tegra 3 processor but also the limited storage of up to 16GB as well. However, where the Vizio tablet will differ is its profile and weight, as it will not only be thinner, but also lighter as well.

Again the 10-inch tablet coming from Vizio will have a lot in common with the Nexus 10, but there are some subtle differences, such as also being lighter and thinner. However, it’s the inclusion of the Tegra 4 chip that should set it apart from the Nexus 10. If we are to believe what is being reported, then the new Android 4.2 Jelly Bean 10-inch tablet from Vizio will be one of, if not the fastest of its size on the market.

What interests us the most here is how you will soon have two new Android powered tablets that will be comparable, if not better than the Nexus 7 and 10, as the should have better product support and a greater choice in accessories. Again, we have no clue as to when these tablets will be released, but we do expect to see them in the first half of 2013.

Along with TVs, tablets will also have a big showing during CES 2013, it’s amazing at just how much choice there now is and it will only get bigger this year. Going back a few years Apple had the monopoly on the tablet market, but Android has had to play catch-up pretty quick, and are doing a fine job in taking the battle to the iPad. However, Microsoft wants a piece of this pie as well and so have made an effort to push a selection of Windows 8 tablets, with the latest being the Vizio 11.6-inch tablet.

On paper the Vizio 11.6-inch Windows 8 tablet specs seems pretty decent, but there are a few limitations, which could affect its performance. Firstly there’s the 64GB SSD and the 2GB of RAM. Now while this seems pretty impressive for a tablet, you have to consider that this tablet can run full Windows 8, which means that it will be able to run full desktop applications.

With this is mind surely it would have been more beneficial for Vizio to double up key features, so a 128GB SSD and at least 4GB of RAM instead? However, many of you will disagree with this assumption and believe that we have a pretty standard tablet, and if they get the price right then Vizio could have a very competitive 11.6-inch tablet on their hands.

What will make this tablet stand out is that it is one of the first to run Windows 8 while being powered by the 1GHz dual-core AMD Z60 chip processor. However, what stands out for us the most with this low-powered laptop is a Full HD 1080p display, although those limitations mentioned above will certainly put a few people off, even if they were interested in that 1080p screen.

More details and the Vizio 11.6-inch tablet price will be revealed during CES 2013, so let’s hope that the price is pretty competitive for the device to stand a chance in a very aggressive market.

Having owned a few Samsung LED TVs over the years it’s easy to understand how good the blacks are thanks to light almost non-existent where there should be black, and when it comes to price the Vizio 60-inch LED Smart TV delivers on value and specs. Today we wanted to showcase some details about the Vizio 60-inch LED, and also feature the Smart TV in a video review that explains the pros and cons.

Vizio’s 60-inch LED Smart TV is the best we’ve ever seen when it comes to specs for money, and the 3-minute hands-on video seen below this article gives you an overview of the features and a close-up from all angles. As with most Connected TVs, you can count on expanding what is possible with apps and this is no different with the Vizio LED Smart TV that comes with Internet apps and Wi-Fi built-in to make connecting even easier, which is easy to use with the help of a remote control with built-in keyboard.

The design of the Vizio 60-inch LED Smart TV includes a very thin bezel on the top and sides, which is under an inch and thanks to this slim design it makes the television look like all screen. An Apple TV is not really needed with this television, unless you really need iTunes that is, which is thanks to the amount of apps that stream through the Vizio Smart TV software that includes the likes of Netflix, Hulu Plus, and other audio services like Pandora as well.

It is worth pointing out that the UI is lacking slightly, but considering the price of just $1,000 it is certainly worth considering. We’ve also heard that some retailers might be offering the Vizio 60-inch LED Smart TV at a discount during the holiday shopping period, so take a look at the visual review below and also see the official product page on the Vizio website here.

Could you see the Vizio 60-inch LED Smart TV in your home? You can see the main specs in the image above, so take a look and let us know what you think in the comments.

If you were thinking of getting yourself a new TV, them maybe you should hold off until Saturday, as you don’t want to miss out on Walmart’s Super Saturday deals. One product that you might want to consider is the Vizio 42-inch LED TV SV420M, but before you part with $498 (usually $698) you will want to know the specs and also read a few reviews first.

It’s not even Black Friday 2011 and already the deals have started to show up, proof that the event gets earlier each year. The TV is Full HD 1080p and will be ideal for watching sports or fast action movies thanks to its 120Mz fast technology. It has a resolution of 1920 x 1080p and a contrast ratio of 50,000:1. There are 4 HDMI ports, so no fear of running out. More details on the TV can be found by visiting the Walmart page here.

Even though the Vizio SV420M 42-Inch HDTV is a little on the old side, that still does not stop consumers from wanting to purchase it. The reason for this is due to the fact that it is a cheap alternative to some of the TVs on the market. PC World has a review, and feels mixed by the device. While they loved the presets they do not like the below average remote.

The next review is from You Review Electronics, who makes a note of its good looks and its slim design. They say that the contrast level will not only help to improve the sharpness of a picture but will also increase its black levels. However, the best way to understand a TV is by the consumer, so you will love the user reviews for the Vizio SV420M 42-Inch HDTV.

We first heard news about Vizio’s upcoming Android tablet back in January of this year, after the company unveiled it during the CES 2011 event. Although we could provide our readers with information on the specs of the device, we unfortunately could not give an exact arrival date.

However, according to a recent article over at wirelessgoodness.com, the Vizio VTab Android tablet – also known by the model number VTAB1008 – has recently hit the FCC and won approval for its Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities, which of course means that the US release date is imminent.

The VTab is said to feature an 8-inch LCD display, which as we previously mentioned supports a resolution of 1024 x 768, a 1GHz Plus processor and 4GB of internal storage. The FCC’s test reports also confirm that the upcoming tablet will come with a microSD card slot, HDMI out and USB ports.

Although we haven’t had any confirmation on a price for the Vizio VTAB1008 tablet as of yet, Engadget did spot the device in Walmart’s inventory system earlier this week for $349. We don’t know what Android version it will be running either. Would you pay $349 for the Vizio VTab Android tablet?

With CES 2011 now underway it is unsurprising to see another manufacturer showing off a tablet computer, in this article we will talk about the new Android-based Vizio tablet, you can see Engadget’s brief hands-on with this device here.

The Vizo Tablet boasts some pretty similar specs to the Samsung Galaxy Tab, these include an 8-inch LCD supporting a resolution of 1024 x 768, 1GHz plus processor (not to sure what the plus means), 4GB of internal storage (2GB of which is used for the OS), a microSD memory card slot, a micro USB port, HDMI-out and stereo speakers which support surround sound emulation (landscape or portrait).

In terms of design the Vizio Tablet is a similar thickness to the iPad, also there is a similar glossy front bezel, however around the back there is a matte gray finish. According to Engadget the display’s viewing angles aren’t great, however the pixel density is said to be better than Apple’s impressive tablet.

Engadget’s hands-on and spec listing failed to confirm a few important details, such as its Android version, RAM, whether there was 3G connectivity and the WiFi standards supported, one thing which is pretty neat is that there is a built-in IR blaster to allow it to function as a universal remote.

According to Vizio this tablet will arrive in the summer as the software is still pretty buggy, we have no idea of pricing, however it is said to be “very competitive”, which suggests that it will be cheaper than the iPad / Galaxy Tab.

You can see a gallery of Vizio Tablet photos here, check them out and come back to let us know whether you are impressed by the look of this tablet.

We have some good news if you are a fan of Vizio products, as it looks like the company will be introducing a new tablet device and smartphone at this years Consumer Electronics Show which kicks off soon.

You probably know about Vizio due to their vast array of budget HDTV products, but according to this report from Engadget, they are now starting to venture into the tablet market, with a new 8-inch tablet device which could be running Android OS Honeycomb.

If that wasn’t exciting enough, the company are also planning to release a smartphone in the Summer, a smartphone which will sport a 4-inch display, Android OS, a 5 megapixel camera, WiFi connectivity and also a front-facing camera for video chat – sounds pretty impressive for Vizio doesn’t it?

You can see an early image of both devices below. Notice that the Android UI has been heavily customized, and we have to say that we quite like it.

That’s all the details we have at the moment, until a full reveal at CES. Let us know your thoughts on both – the main factor here is price. If Vizio stay true to their roots, these devices could be very popular this Summer.

If you are looking for a new TV then this may be the one you are looking for. It’s a 65” LED-lit LCD HDTV.
Perhaps one of the coolest features that this TV has, is the remote control; it has a full QWERTY keyboard that slides out. It doesn’t stop there! It connects to your TV using Bluetooth. The other accessories that it comes with are the glasses, it comes with 4 pairs, 2 of which are designed to be used with prescription spectacles.

The specs of the TV include: a 65” screen, 64.5” is viewable; a dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1; a refresh rate of 120Hz and a resolution of 1920 x 1080.
