Taking into account what we have already, we have come across an article from GamingBolt who have put together a selection of screenshots from Uncharted 2 against ones from Uncharted 3. Uncharted 3 images are on top and Uncharted 2 images are at the bottom, as if you needed us to tell you!

As you can see from the screenshots, the improvement in graphics is quite significant to say the least.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves was questionably one of the games of the current generation, and any attempts to beat it would take some doing. But as you can tell, Naughty Dog have gone out on a limb here and have delivered even more impressive graphics this time around.

Just in case you missed it, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception will make it’s PS3 launch on November 1st, 2011, and I’m sure that any Uncharted player will be looking forward to that date for a significant while yet.

Here is what we know: As obvious as it may be, the title is not what everyone thought it would be and is now officially titled Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. The title gives us a significant clue into what the game will evolve around, and this is Drake being the deceiver but also being deceived. There is also something deceiving about Drake’s very identity.

We can also expect to see Drake’s relationship with “Victor “Sully” Sullivan continue, as the mentor asks him to go searching for a lost city that will take him across a vast range of other areas such as the Arabian Peninsula and the Rub’ al Khali Desert.

Along with the projected fall 2011 release, we can also expect to see the first Nathan Drake novel, Uncharted: The Fourth Labyrinth which will mark the start of Naughty Dogs push to make Uncharted a “transmedia” entertainment brand, much like Star Wars is today.

An official release date is not yet known, we still don’t know if fall 2011 is accurate yet, but we could find out as soon as December 11 (this Saturday) hits as we are expected to get the first Uncharted 3 trailer at the Spike Videogame Awards.

The PlayStation 3 exclusive Uncharted 2: Among Thieves received much praise last year, and also won a ton of video game awards along with selling over 3.8 million copies worldwide. This just shows the extent of how big the game has become, so it’s no wonder people are itching to find out some news about the next in the series.

The article in question comes from Tqcast, who have listed some of the awards that the game has won so far, highlighting recent accolades from the GAME British Academy Video Games Awards – who have Uncharted 2 up for 6 new awards.

Lets not forget that Uncharted 2 was released almost 6 months ago, and still, people are using it as a benchmark when comparing it with other titles.

With that said though, is it really worth the title of ‘Greatest game in existance’? We’re not so sure. Let us know your thoughts on this.

In total the game won 5 new awards, these included ‘Game of the Year’, Best Audio, Best Technology, Best Visual Arts and Best Writing, one award it did miss out on was Best Design, this went to Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Obviously the biggest accomplishment here was the game of the year award, other nominees for this award were Assassin’s Creed II, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Demon’s Souls and Dragon Age: Origins, prior to this Uncharted 2 was already regarded by metacritic as their game of the year.

Other award winners at the show included 5th Cell’s “Scribblenauts”, Runic Games’ “Torchlight” and thatgamecompany’s free-flowing “Flower”, for more information regarding all of the awards check out the link below.
