The fight ended within the first round thanks to a right hook from Franklin, this has resulted in a huge Twitter response.

The fight was so popular that a few hours ago Twitter was trending “Chuck Liddell“, at it’s peak 0.8% of tweets featured the hall of famer’s name.

This may not sound like a lot, however there are apparently up to 65 million tweets per day, which means that any trending term has received hundreds of thousands of tweets.

Chuck Liddell is no longer trending on Twitter, many users are reporting that he may well retire from UFC following three consecutive losses, therefore this could be last time we ever see Chuck Liddell trend on Twitter.

If you check out this link you can see all of the latest Chuck Liddell tweets, it seems as if a lot of Twitter users cannot spell as Chuck Liddel (one ‘l’) has also received thousands of tweets in the last few hours.

The UFC President Dana White appears to be holding judgment on whether or not Chuck Liddell will retire, usually he tweets such information on his official Twitter page, however there has been no Chuck Liddell talk from him since UFC 115.

The information is updated much faster than any other media outlet, well apart from the TV or radio.
