We have some pretty exciting news now for those of you that are waiting to pick up Infinity Ward’s highly anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 game later this year, as we’ve just received word that sound card and headphone manufacturer Turtle Beach has recently announced its new ‘Modern Warfare 3’ headset range.

As Joe Pollicino over at engadget.com recently noted, although the headsets all boast the same night vision-esque design, they do all come with varying features. The most expensive headset of them all is the Ear Force DELTA (EFD), which has a price tag of $299.95. The Ear Force DELTA is based on the company’s XP500 programmable virtual 7.1 headset.

The Ear Force DELTA Modern Warfare 3-optimized programmable wireless Dolby 7.1 surround sound headset comes packaged in a special themed travel case. It also comes with pre-loaded custom ‘Modern Warfare 3’ presets and voice prompts and Bluetooth chat. The EFD headset is compatible with the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Next up on the list is the Ear Force BRAVO (EFB) headset, which is compatible with the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The Ear Force BRAVO Modern Warfare 3-optimized programmable wireless universal gaming headset – which is a variant of the PX3 – features the same custom MW3 presets as the EFD model, but comes with a lower price tag of $149.95.

If you want a headset that’s a little cheaper, then you might like the Ear Force CHARLIE (EFC) multi-speaker surround sound PC gaming headset, which is a variant of the Z6A. This MW3-optimized wired headset comes with 8 amplified, acoustically angled speakers and a price tag of $129.95. Last but not least is the $99.95 Ear Force FOXTROT (EFF) MW3-optimzed universal gaming headset.

We don’t know the exact date when these Turtle Beach Modern Warfare 3 headsets will be arriving, but we do know that they will be available sometime in October. Additional information about each headset will be coming at a later date. As for the upcoming game itself, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is due to be released on November 8th.

However, as we mentioned in a previous post, the Modern Warfare 3 game will be playable at the recently announced Call of Duty XP 2011 event, which is due to take place on the 2nd and 3rd of September.

Would you buy any of these Modern Warfare 3 headsets?
