We have some good news for Black Ops 2 players on Xbox 360, as it looks like more personalization packs are on the way soon, but with one twist. We’ve heard that Treyarch are actually letting gamers choose the designs for the next release though, by releasing a voting system via the message of the day system.

If you have bought a Black Ops 2 personalization pack before, you’ll know that they come with a brand new stylish weapon camo in the game for you to show off in multiplayer. Four possible designs are on the way to the game at the end of the month, but only two will actually go on sale.

Information discovered at CharlieIntel suggests that voting will begin this week on May 23, allowing players to choose from the Comic Book, Cyborg, Dragon and Paladin weapon camos. You can see an image of what the camos are going to look like above – Comic Book is easily our favorite out of the four.

As far as we know, this is only for Xbox 360 players unfortunately. It looks like these new camos may be exclusive to Microsoft again, and will then show up on PS3 and PC at a later date. No set price has been revealed yet, but they should be 160 Microsoft Points for the pack – consisting of the camo, 3 reticles and a calling card, if Activision are sticking to the same plan.

The Dragon skin looks fairly appealing as well, so we have a feeling that it could be those two that make the cut. Take a look at the image above and let us know which two skins you will be voting for. Are they worth 160 Microsoft Points for some extra bragging rights in multiplayer?

It has been a long time waiting, but it looks like we are just moments away from the highly anticipated Black Ops 2 Uprising DLC release time for PS3 and PC platforms. The new content will add four new multiplayer maps, but more importantly – the release of the new Mob of the Dead zombie map as well.

This particular map pack release is somewhat stranger as usual, since we often see new Call of Duty DLC releases on a Tuesday. However, Treyarch has opted to unleash Uprising slightly later – either late Wednesday night in the US or the early hours of Thursday morning for those who have woken up early in Europe.

The good news is that Black Ops 2 Uprising on PS3 is due out out at any moment. The official release time for Uprising on the PlayStation Store is 10.30pm Pacific Time, so you should be refreshing the store right now to see if the content is available for download in your area. Remember that the content is $14.99 to buy, or free if you already have a Black Ops 2 Season Pass.

That means a 6.30am release time for everyone in the UK and an hour later for other gamers in Europe. As we told you earlier on this week, the Uprising DLC release coincides with Double Weapon XP weekend, with Treyarch already confirming that this will start on Friday May 16 at 10am Pacific Time.

So there we have it. No longer will you have to watch YouTube videos from everyone playing Mob of the Dead on Xbox 360. Check the PlayStation Store right now and you may see it available for download. Let us know if you are already downloading and the file size that is required.

We have some good news for PS3 and PC users at last, as Activision has finally confirmed a solid release date for when Mob of the Dead zombies will be out, as part of the Black Ops 2 Uprising DLC map pack. As most of you are well aware, the new zombies map is already available on Xbox 360, and has been for almost a month as part of Microsoft’s ongoing exclusivity agreement.

We have been keeping you informed about the new features that are available within Mob of the Dead, but most importantly, details on how to solve the main easter egg that Treyarch has included in the game as usual. If you have been studying how to do it, you’ll soon be able to complete the easter egg with friends on the PS3 and PC versions.

Treyarch and Activision have announced that Uprising will be available to buy on May 16 for $14,99, although it will be free for those who are still willing to buy a season pass on PS3 and PC for $50. Aside from Mob of the Dead, the content will also include four new maps to play in multiplayer – these are Magma, Studio, Vertigo and Encore.

There will not be a free DLC weapon this time around though, unlike the Peacekeeper SMG that we saw bundled with the Revolution map pack. We’re not sure why Treyarch hasn’t included one, but let’s hope that we get another one with the next map pack in a few months time.

With celebrities back in zombies with Mob of the Dead, we wonder what Treyarch are plotting for the next zombie map. This one is set in Alcatraz prison for the very first time, so it will be interesting to see if the next zombie map brings back any of the main characters that we all know and love from previous zombie maps.

We are just hours away from a brand new zombie map landing on Xbox Live for Black Ops 2 Season Pass owners. Mob of the Dead zombies is coming soon and we now have some estimated release times to give you, for gamers in the US and UK who are planning to play the new content as soon as it goes live on the Xbox Live Marketplace.

To remind you, the new Mob of the Dead zombies map is coming as part of the Uprising DLC map pack for Black Ops 2. Aside from the new zombies map, Uprising will also add the Magma, Studio, Encore and Vertigo maps into multiplayer, but no new multiplayer weapon this time around.

Treyarch hasn’t given an official release time for Uprising and Mob of the Dead zombies yet, but we have discovered some information over on Twitter, courtesy of CharlieIntel. According to their page, the Uprising DLC pack will be available on the Xbox Live marketplace at around 2am Pacific Time.

That means that we could be seeing Mob of the Dead available at 5am Eastern Time and 10am for those of you in the UK. Remember that this isn’t a direct confirmation yet, but estimated times just to give you an idea. Either way, it looks like those in the US will have to stay up through the night to be able to play it straight away, but users in the UK can get some sleep first and hit all day in the morning.

Hopefully by the time Uprising is live, there will be no more Xbox 360 server problems as we’ve seen recently. Treyarch has said that they are ‘investigating’ the recent downtime regardless, so we’ll update you if there’s a big update on the issue.

Following on from the release of the exciting behind the scenes gameplay from Mob of the Dead zombies, Treyarch has now released a new trailer for the upcoming zombie map as part of the Uprising DLC for Black Ops 2. For those of you that really love zombies, we now have that video to show you, but with added commentary and analysis so you can really study all of the extra features.

Prior to this, we have been trying our best to keep you updated with all things Mob of the Dead before the map is out on April 16. So far, we have told you about the new Electric Cherry perk machine, the Blundergat wonder weapon, new acid and fan traps and also the confirmation of a zombie warden type boss.

In the new trailer that Treyarch has released, we get a more in-depth introduction to our main characters in the game – revealed as Finn O’Leary, Arthur Arlington, Salvatore DeLuca, and Billy Handsome. He hear on how all of the characters are familiar with one another, and have ended up in Alcatraz due to their past criminal offenses – including multiple counts of murder.

As for the more interesting aspects of the trailer, you can pause the video at 2:15 to see confirmation of a cable car transportation mode, allowing you to make a quick descent from an upper Alcatraz level to a lower section. There’s also a very brief teaser of the new flaming tomahawks, which now have the ability to take out multiple zombies in a row when thrown.

The new acid and fan traps look delicious, while the warden boss looks like he is not one to be messed with – especially if you get close to him with that club in his hand. The analysis we have for you here, comes courtesy of Next Gen Zombies, who are usually the same guys who end up cracking the easter egg secrets upon each map release.

If you take your Black Ops 2 multiplayer sessions seriously, you are going to want to check out this video that we have for you. Activision has just released the entire 2 hour+ stream from the 2013 Call of Duty Championships. You’ll see intense gameplay matches on offer here complete with commentary, culminating in a grand prize of a cool $400,000.

For that kind of money, you can bet that the tension is going to be through the roof and you’ll see when you watch the final hours towards the end of the video. It is over two hours in length as we mentioned above, so this will only be of interest for those that consider themselves to be match standard when playing online.

For those that just want to know the ending result, we can tell you that Fariko Impact are the team that emerged victorious. There was a grand total of $1,000,000 for the whole tournament, but Fariko Impact took home the biggest individual amount with $400,000 for beating EnVyUs in the final.

Even then the runners up scooped $200,000 as a second-place prize so that is hardly worth complaining about. Third place went to OpTic Gaming and they received $100,000 for their efforts. The $1,000,000 prize fund was coughed up by Activision, so it’s nice to see the company putting some of their profits back into the community as prize money.

We have been keeping you up to date with Mob of the Dead zombie news, and now Treyarch has finally decided to reveal some official gameplay at last. Previously, their Black Ops 2 Mob of the Dead zombies teaser was only available on Xbox Live after the COD Championships, but now the video is available to view for all.

More importantly, it gives you a fantastic gameplay preview of some of the new features that will be available in the new zombies map. We have already told you about the Blundergat wonder weapon, as well as the new Electric Cherry perk machine. Now Treyarch has confirmed that the Blundergat can be upgraded and that there will be a new type of zombie boss to contend with as well.

If you watch the video, you’ll see that a rather large Alcatraz Warden has been sighted at the 4.55 mark into the video. Not only will he chase you down in an intimidating fashion, but he will also ‘lock down’ any boxes or perk machines that he runs past as well. Once he has done this, your team will then have to pay an extra fee to access it again – another interesting idea to shake up gameplay.

We can also confirm early rumors that one of the main objectives of Mob of the Dead will be to collect parts, which will ultimately be assembled to build a plane so you can escape off the island at the end of the game. We understand that this will be a side mission quest in the game, so it could also be related to the main Easter Egg as well.

There will obviously still be unlimited waves to get through though, so it will be interesting to see how the escape off the island on a plane mission works. At the start of last month, we told you that micro DLC was on the way to Black Ops 2, in the form of personalization packs that provided extra buyers with some custom weapon skins, some cool looking target reticles and some unique calling cards. Now, almost a month later we can confirm that the service is now live on the Xbox 360 version of the game.

As you may have guessed already, this content is optional and isn’t included as part of the overall Season Pass deal. That only includes the four DLC map packs, with Revolution having already been released, and Uprising on the way later this month. If you consider yourself to be the ultimate Black Ops 2 fan, you can pay 160 Microsoft Points for the pleasure of having a unique personalization pack that will make you the star of the server as other gamers check you out on the killcam.

Treyarch has released a new video preview, giving you an exact idea of the weapon skins and custom reticles that are available for those that are interested. Some of the packs on offer include the Benjamins, Party Rock, Graffiti and our personal favorite – Bacon.

Some Season Pass owners are obviously very disappointed that this isn’t included in their overall package, but then again it is only 160 Microsoft Points to try it out. More packs have been promised in the future and there will also be a way to pay 160 Microsoft Points to increase the amount of create-a-class slots as well.

If you consider yourself to be something of a Black Ops 2 professional, April is going to be the time to put those words into actions. Activision has announced an official tournament for their latest shooter, with the Call of Duty Championship giving the chance for 32 teams to compete for a grand prize and mouth-watering sum of $1,000,000 combined.

As most of you know, Treyarch developed Black Ops 2 with the support for the eSports gaming league and now it looks like Activision are ready to stage their first big tournament to see how good players can really be in specific game modes and in a tournament environment with other players.

The COD Championship will take place between April 5 and April 7 in Hollywood and aside from ESL backing, the event is also going to be sponsored by Xbox 360 and Major League Gaming. The first step in gaining qualification to the tournament is to take part in the February Season on Black Ops 2, in which you’ll also need an Elite account so your stats are recorded.

If your 4-man team finishes in the top 8, you’ll earn a spot in the Championship tournament and be in with a chance of walking away with real cash for your efforts. While this is going to be exciting for Xbox 360 players who think they have what it takes, it’s going to be a shock for PS3 and PC players when they find out that they don’t even qualify for the tournament due to their platform of choice.

If you play Black Ops 2 on PC or PS3 and also consider yourself to be a skilled player at the game – it doesn’t matter. The rules state on Activision’s website that this tournament is for Xbox 360 players only, with no information on PS3 or PC tournaments in sight.

Is this really fair for other players of the game who wanted to participate in the tournament as well? We’re willing to bet there would be a fair amount of PC and PS3 players who would definitely give Xbox 360 gamers a run for their money. The Wii U version of Black Ops 2 is considered the best by some gamers who have had the chance to compare it with other console versions. So far Treyarch hasn’t committed to any DLC for Nintendo’s version, but Wii U owners are optimistic that Treyarch will bring the likes of Revolution and other future DLC at a later date.

This week saw the release of Revolution for Xbox 360 Season Pass owners and it appears that a recent patch update for the Wii U version is causing a lot of confusion. The patch was deployed to bring the Wii U version up to speed with the Xbox 360 and PS3 counterparts, but word has spread that Wii U owners have been seeing Revolution information pop up in the Wii U version – obviously leading to speculation that the DLC could be coming sooner than expected.

There are also some animation problems that are occurring on the Wii U version and Treyarch has moved quick to issue a statement on the matter. Unfortunately it looks like the Revolution menu listings that are present in the Wii U version are there due to an error and not a confirmation that the Wii U is getting the map pack any time soon.

Treyarch has apologized over the issues, but you can imagine the frustration for those that picked up the Wii U version which is arguably the best, yet they have no DLC or no Season Pass to buy. A new patch should be on the way to fix up some of the other problems in the game, but hopefully Treyarch is thinking long and hard why the Wii U should be excluded from DLC.
