Panasonic Toughbook 19 PC
When it comes to notebooks we all want more memory and better processors so Panasonic decided what the hell let’s boost the Panasonic Toughbook 19 and see where that gets us.

The Panasonic Toughbook 19 has always been the one computer that was left out of all the things it should have got, but not anymore my friends. Panasonic have just announced that they will be boosting the Toughbook 19 and in that we mean the speed and better memory.

The convertible tablet which is available now will boast 1.06GHz U7500 processor (2MB L2 cache), 5.1-pound in weight, 4GB of SDRAM, 10.4-inch daylight-readable display, 80GB shock-mounted HDD, optional integrated WWAN / GPS / 2-megapixel webcam plus a magnesium alloy case, oh and the battery will last around 7 hours.

The price for such a thing will set you back $3,199. Get yourselves over to engadget to get the full press release.

Panasonic Toughbook UMPC: with Intel Atomic CPU
We know that the new Intel Atom CPU is now available, and we knew that it would not be long until UMPC makers would start using them. The Panasonic Toughbook is one of the first Ultra Mobile PC’s to use the Intel Atomic processor.

Panasonic have not let anything slip so not much is known about the Panasonic Atomic Toughbook, however what we do know is that this UMPC has a 5.6-inch display and will have an optional keyboard. The Panasonic Toughbook will have Wi-Fi, a barcode reader and a built-in webcam.

If you like your Ultra Mobile PC’s chunky, then this new Atomic Toughbook is for you, it will run on Windows Vista; however I would prefer it to have XP.

Panasonic Toughbook CF-U1: Hi-K Metal Gate UMPC beater

Panasonic Toughbook CF-U1: Hi-K Metal Gate UMPC beater
We know that the Hi-K Metal Gate is a superb UMPC; however it seems as if Panasonic might have other ideas. Their new Toughbook CF-U1 is a fully ruggedized Ultra Mobile PC. The CF-U1 runs on both XP and Vista, oh how I hate saying that word Vista.

As yet there is not much information about Panasonic’s new UMPC, but if the company says that it is a beater to the Hi-K Metal Gate, then it is sure to have some great features. One thing is for sure, these ruggedized toughbooks are less bulky than some of the older models that are on the market at the moment.
