Erica Ogg of Cnet is reporting in an article that Toshiba had earlier posted on its support forums last week a recall of several models of its Satellite T130 laptops. According to the CPSC there have been 129 cases of “overheating and deforming the plastic casing area around the AC adapter plug.”

On its web site Toshiba said the problem is a “faulty DC-In harness,” that can lead to the Laptop melting where the AC adapter connects to the unit. A BIOS update has been made available for users to download to solve the problem, and is recommended to be done straight away.
